Korleone Young, Jonathan Bender, Leon Smith, Darius Miles, DeShawn Stevenson, Kwame Brown, Eddy Curry, DeSagana Diop, Ousmane Cisse, Travis Outlaw, Ndudi Ebi, James Lang, Robert Swift, Sebastian Telfair, Dorell Wright, Martell Webster, C.J. Miles, Louis Williams, Andray Blatche, Amir Johnson, Ricky Sanchez
That would be the list of high schoolers that were drafted. And , to this day hasnt done a thing. Now thats a pretty large list compared to the ones that did make something of their experience. Also, this isnt even a complete list of all the entrants to the NBA chasing that dream because some agent said they could make millions.
Jackie Butler, Taj McDavid, Ellis Richardson, Tony Key, DeAngelo Collins, Lenny Cooke are some names that pop up with that conversation.
This debate holds no water. Its ridiculous to say a kid should by pass atleast one year of college to chase a dream. The OJ Mayo debate will happen, especially with agencies trying to make a buck.

For starters, half your list consists of potential up-and-comers that may never be starters, but still may be decent role players for their whole careers. Like Miles, Stevenson, Curry, Diop...so on. Next, who's to say that if basketball wasn't an option that these kids would go to school? And finally...who's to say that if they do make that list, and are say...DeSagana Diop that they wouldn't make more being a role player in the NBA than they would with a degree at the same time?

You named the only 4 in the entire list that are possible decent role players. "possible" being the key word. Make a valid argument for anyone other then those. The chances that they go to school on a full ride scholarship are pretty high. The money making part is too much of a wide range argument. They could go to the nba and be out in 3 years and have made maybe a million I guess *not sure of the rookie figures*. Or they could go to school and make a career profession making big money. who knows?. But one thing is sure.. they wouldnt enjoy that million very long because the HUGE chance is they would blow it while they earned it living that nba lifestyle.

I was reading this and hoping someone would come up with another list...thanks Anarin. There are always exceptions to every rule. Even on this list, I would tell you that Lebron was the only one ready to make an immediate impact in the pros. Everyone else could have really benefited from a year or two of college. It's not like they all came out as all stars. Don't blame Stern... I don't think it's his responsibility to take care of the NCAA. The NCAA needs to take control of their basketball and stop looking to blame someone else. Stern is looking out for the best for his league. The NCAA needs to examine its own game and see where it's broke.

Young= Second Round pick, bad decision by him.
Bender= Injuries
Smith= Crazy as Parrish said
Stevenson= Solid starter now, double digit points and good defense
Brown= 7.5 points 5.7 reb. a game, thats a solid role player
Curry= Scored 19.5 two season ago, career 13.5
Diop= Solid role player starting for Mavs near championship season
Cisse= Second round pick, and injured
Outlaw= 13.5 ppg this year
Ebi= At least he made money, ha
Lang= Second round pick, his fault for weight
Swift= Injuries, but shows a little potential
Telfair= 9.3 ppg 5.9 ast this year
Wright= 7.9 ppg this year, injuries
Webster= 10.7 ppg this year, still 21
Miles= Scored 29 in a game this year
Williams= 11.5 ppg this year
Blatche= 7.5 ppg 5.2 reb a game this year
Johnson= 3.6 ppg 3.8 rebobunds, plays for Pistons (limits pt)
Sanchez= Second round pick
Most these people you listed are making an impact and certainly "have done a thing in the NBA." The ones who haven't were mostly 2nd round picks (shouldn't have entered anyway) or injured, All the while making more money than you probably. so we haven't seen what they can do. The non-draftees listed? That's their fault for not making the right decision.

Thanks for listing that out, man. Honestly, such a generalization should have never been made. I mean, my list was short, but only because I didn't think it would be necessary to go through all of the motions...I was hoping you'd at least see I'd picked my few from the beginning of your list, close together...hoping you'd pick up on that...but nope. Anyway, listen to my man beefdog here. He's backing up my point much better than I did.

And one more thing, who's to say some of these kids would make it in college? You failed to rebut that point, sir.
