Congratulations on Rutgers getting a game scheduled with Fresno State.  I think that was a fairly recent event.  I'm not sure, but I think I remember you guys talking about Rutgers needing to fill a spot in the schedule not long ago.

Fresno State is ranked pretty high in most polls now too.  This should help increase Rutgers SOS, and help the Big East with the conference SOS which is looking pretty good this season.

I went to ESPN & compared recruiting classes between Fresno & Rutgers the last couple of years and Rutgers has done significantly  better getting higher quality recruits (Not that you can put too much stock in the  ratings).   But it was interesting to see how much better RUs classes were perceived to be.  Hopefully some of these red-shirt Freshman & Sophs start making an impact on special teams.

I was just looking at most of the BE OOC shedules. Take a look at LSU's OCC and compare them. Our OCC teams would crush theirs.

I have noticed that most fans of the BE don't waste time trashing each other and look for our whole conference to beat up everyone else. Guess it comes from being looked down on so much even as we keep proving ourselves. Like someone else said. Last year we had 6 of our 8 teams ranked at some point. If any other conference did that everyone would be gushing about how good they were. Let's do it again this year!

Yeah, Special teams are a worry. Sounds like we have a good replacement for Ito but we did lose a player who went unnoticed but was a workhorse on ST. Jean Beljour

I hear that Britt may be our return man. Also love that most teams including Fresno St are overlooking us a little bit. If Teels thumb is strong and he cuts down on his mental errors, you may see a breakout year from him. We should be able to score on anyone. Now we just need the D-Line to do their part. OL will be at the top of the charts again and Teels blindside is well covered. Should be a fun year and it all starts with an exciting game!

Yeah, it kind of gives our conference teams a unique bond.  Its like when someone is picking on your brother or sister.  You can do it, but no one else can.

I see the non-trashing as kind of a circle the wagons type mentality after the raid and the lynch mob looking to take our BCS bid.  I also see it as everyone is still feeling each other out. give it a few years and let the rivalries develop and we prob wont be so nice to each other...lol.

But hey were living in a special time, a conference as a whole banding together to give a collective finger to the rest of the CFB world.  I dont know about you guys but was absolutly LOVING that OU beat down in the Fiesta Bowl and im a Rutgers fan and St. Johns Alum. (we dont have football so im staking my claim with RU)

GO BIG EAST!

I am really looking forward to this game, and I am glad its our season opener. It should be an exciting game, and give us a good outlook on how good Rutgers will be in 2008.
