Don't get mw wrong: I think Mehmet Okur is a fine player.  I just question if he's the right guy to man the middle for the Utah Jazz.

Utah's biggest weakness was exposed in their Playoff loss to the Lakers.  Their frontcourt isn't very good defensively.  Boozer and Okur are both sub-par defenders.  Obviously they won't trade Carlos Boozer, so if Utah was going to fix this problem, Okur would be the one to go.

What do you think.  Should Okur be traded?

I really like Memo and the way he plays...ON OFFENSE! I think he is a top 5-7 center in the NBA and could get a few more trips to the All-Star game in his career. But, he needs to be on a team that already has a good defensive big man. I love him and said no on the poll, but he needs to work on his defense or...

You can't teach a player to be quick atheletic and jump high. They really need to add a big to the mix that can do those things. Even someone like a Diop would be a great addition to the rotation. I don't think they need to get rid of Okur or Boozer just add someone to the mix. But if Bynum comes back a 100% it will all be for not, the Lakers will be winning the west the next 5 years or so (with prehaps the Hornets breaking through somewhere in there) .

But did you see the last 5-10 minutes (or whatever it was after Boozer fouled out) of that last game! Without Boozer they looked Fantastic! Boozer was a selfish black-hole. With a lineup of quick slashing type players they looked great. I don't watch enough Jazz games to know the whole story, but boozer was a ball n' chain around their ankle holding them back in the playoffs

K patheticguy, honestly? Why are you so anti-Boozer? You go around every thread saying how horrible Carlos is and how when Bynum gets back your Lakers are goin to win the west for the next 5 years! First of all, I wonder if they had the chance, how many teams in the NBA would try to get Carlos Boozer on their team? My guess is maybe a few might look into it. And why do all the Laker fans think Bynum will just make them the team of the Century? He's good, not great. And saying Boozer killed the Jazz's chances, I can guarantee they would not have made it there without him, even though he did play horribly. You know he is a great player, so just be quiet.
