As a Cubs fan I love to see the Brew Crew lose, but I hate to see the Cardinals in second even more. But this season is far from over for the Brewers (i.e. take a look at last season, Cubs came from behind) and I would rather see a Brewers-Cubs race at the end of the season than a 3 or 4 team race thats starting to evolve.

Keep your head up Brewer fans, you won't win the NL Central, but there's always the wild card.

What we need is CHuck Norris to be the special enforcer in the dugout.  Then we would crush all opponents.

Both of the above posts have a lot of merit.

i think of it this way... nothing EVER comes easy to the Cubs so somebody is going to challenge them and i dont think it will be the 'stros or cards so that leaves the Brewers prime for a come-back season.

100 years,

I feel the same way only I hate to see the Cubs in first. I would rather have it be the Brewers and Cards.

But I do agree with you that the Brewers are not done. Last year the Cubs came back, a couple of years ago the Astros made a come back, so this year it very well could be the Brewers.

At least the Brewers scored seven runs today.  Less depressing than no run support when the pitching was adequate, now we need the pitching and hittting to be in sync for a series or two.

I agree we are not done, but at 4 games under .500 and 7 games back we need to put on a streak sometime and sometime soon before things are too far out of control.  We have played well in short spurts but have not put together a good 10 game stretch all year.

Hopefully we can put some wins together at Pittsburgh and Washington, then come home and play well.  But if we don't, and I hate to say this, one more poor streak of baseball will kill the season.
