Geze-
The Taliban was the target- not the ENTIRE country. Why not just send people in to take care of them? That's what the CIA, and other forces, are supposed to do.
The residual affect was yet another country devastated by US war-style.
Think of how many innocent women, children and everyone else died in Afghanistan. And hey- bin Laden, the target, is still free.
Go US Army !
I think the whole concept of "war" needs be revised.

Oh, and to clarify:
My mate has two sons who just joined the Navy, my Uncles and other family members were in Vietnam and Korea, my cousin was in Desert Storm, and I have many friends with children in the US Armed Forces.
I pray for them all. And, even with that, I wish that the whole Bush regime just goes out of power, very soon. This country has suffered greatly. Economically, morally and how about that Patriot Act?

if only we had the brain of Anika, the CBS resident military strategist, in the room when they were devising a strategy for eliminating the Taliban. she knows so much more than the people making the decisions. its just so obvious. (excuse me while i puke)
The residual affect was yet another country devastated by US war-style.
the world is not a nice place. the sooner you come to that realization the sooner you will stop making a fool of yourself on message boards. imagine if we weren't there with our "war-style" back in 1942.
Think of how many innocent women, children and everyone else died in Afghanistan.
think of how many women were tortured and killed as punishment for being raped by a man? or did you not know about the taliban "government-style"?
And hey- bin Laden, the target, is still free.
didn't you just write that the taliban was the target? or maybe the innocent women and children were the target?
I think the whole concept of "war" needs be revised.
thats probably what the french were saying right before a buttload of panzer tanks came strolling in not so many decades ago.

Also, go there in the field and talk to your military people, talk to those who know what is going on. I don't think there is enough of that happening.
________________________________
youre exactly right geze, theres not enough of that goin on... because the liberal media doesnt want to hear that the people fighting want to be there... instead, they want to say what a horrible travesty this war is and that the people dont want to be there... the media would rather focus on idiots like cindy shehan who campaign against the war cuz her son (who signed up to fight in the war) died... my bro is a marine and talks to marines and other soldiers who have been over there, and they WANT to be there fighting... all you people do is listen to cnn and read the liberal newspapers who bash the war by findin the small minority of soliders who dont want to be over there... id love to hear more veterans talk about the war, cuz that would shut up all these people bashing it

I often feel that I use more information than them just by reading news stories on the internet. I have a feeling they are actively trying to fight information they don't like, instead of using as much information as possible.

the info you get from cnn and msnbc? trust me geze, you dont know 1/1000th of the info that the gov't has, so dont act like youre that much smarter than them

ANika has the "look the other way" mentality on many subjects, especially on subjects she has little knowledge on, especially our military. It likes to ride the wave of popular belief rather than the truth.
Funny how quick the flock forgets the terror instilled in the Middle East by the cheiftans of the Taliban and Hussien and his demon children. With the attention span equal to the next commercial break on TNT, it has nothing to stand on with any merit. They are long commercial breaks Anika, I will give you that.

Obama is a very charismatic individual and he has a great ability to unite people. He is an amazingly powerful speaker. That attracts me in a big way (no homo). He has never been a muslim and has stated that COUNTLESS times. He is a devout christian. I think he will take this country in the right direction and that it was we, as Americans, need right now.
I recently joined the Army, and I will admit it, it did scare me a bit when I heard McCain say "We will stay in Iraq for a hundred years if we have to." All I know is if it is McCain and we do stay in Iraq for an extended period of time, I will f | |
