Here is a list of transfers that I expect to go into their school and make an immediate impact (In no particular order):

1. Alex Legion, Illinois. He transfered early out of Kentucky for lack of playing time and a combination of other things.  Despite this he is still a solid SG and can score well.  Which is what Illinois needs.

2. Denis Clemente, K State.  Transfered out of Miami, this guy is a solid pg.  He is coming in at the perfect time, just as K State losses 2 of its top 3 guards (not to mention Walker and Beasley).  He should do damage for the Cats.

3. Mike Mercer, USF.  Another guard, this time transfer from Georgia.  At Georgia he averaged 14 ppg with 4 assists and 4 rebounds, that is exactly what USF needs.  A guy that can get it all done.  He wont be eligible to play until after the fall semester though.

4. Marcus Johnson, USC.  You guessed it, another guard.  This UConn transfered showed promise at times, but things never worked out. Now he transfers back to his home state where he should do work as the smell of Mayo lingers.  He too wont be eligible until after the fall semester.

5.  Joe Trapini, BC.  This guy can shoot, a transfer from Vermont he averaged 12 points 5 rebounds and shot 40% from 3.  He is 6 foot 8 and can get his shot over anyone.  Should help Tyrese Rice out a lot.

All these guys should do well with their new teams and be key cogs down the stretch.

Mercer is a hell of a player who could have done better than USF.

My assumption is that he wanted to be the star of the show so USF was a good option for him.  Plus it's South Florida baby!

He always did have ego problems and clashes with Felton.

Legion has the potential to be a Luther Head type at Illinois.  I really think he does.

Keep an eye out for Tre'Von Willis of UNLV as well (who transferred in from Memphis).  He's expected to start along side Wink Adams in the Rebels backcourt next season, and by all accounts looked superb during practice all last season.

He was a prolific scorer coming out of high school in California, but played limited minutes as a freshman under John Calipari.
