I remember Nolan Ryan pitching against my Brew Crew and had a no no going through 8 full innings.  When he came out in the ninth, the crowd of about 3,500 was giving him a standing ovation and, wouldn't you know it, some bench player whose name escapes me leads off with a bloop single to left and was severely booed by the home crowd.  He did end up with a 1 hitter in a 7-0 win.

Last year, me and my mom randomly decided to go to a Tigers game at the last second.  We were only able to get some cheap bleacher tickets, but we figured it would be worthwhile.

As some of you can probably guess, it was the night that Verlander threw a no-hitter.  I have to say, that it was easily the greatest moment I have ever experienced in sports.  The stadium was so loud that you could barely think.  I regret that I didn't have a camera at the time, so I couldn't commemorate it, except for the ticket stubs.

That's cool Rivals....i'm talkin' Majors, though.

Yeah I kinda figured that...but hey...who wouldn't take a chance to brag on themselves huh?? haha

On a sidenote, in the major's, I've never been to a game even close to a no-no, though I did see both Wood and Prior pitch in consecutive games in '03 when they were healthy and roaring in Cincy...plus, I was at the game when Farnsworth destroyed Paul Wilson with the huge "tackle" and beat the living daylights out of him...that was probably the highlight of all my MLB games I've been to....except my first time at Wrigley...nothing will EVER beat that

As many games as Ive been to at Dodger and Angels stadiums, Ive never even seen a game that was close. I guess the closest Ive ever been was a game between the Angels and Tigers that went 17 innings. I dont remember the pitchers, but it was like 1-1 in the 8th inning, when Downing comes up and hits a towering shot to Center, and Gary Pettis makes the greatest catch Ive ever seen(it gets played on  Best Damn sports 50 greatest plays). Needless to say, we got to stay another 9 innings. Until that point, there was not alot of offense. Almost every other game I can remember was a blowout.

I saw Chris Bosio throw his no-hitter against the Red Sox at the kingdome back in '93.
It almost wasn't on the last out of the game, saved by a bare-handed play by the shortstop

I was also in Atlanta for Randy Johnson's perfect game against the Braves in '04. 13 strikeouts and just a dominating performance.
Mike Hampton had a complete game that day as well.

Not only did we get to see a no hitter but a perfect game. Sept. 16, 1988. I was working in downtown Cincinnati and had just got off work. The game between the Reds vs Dodgers had been delayed due to rain so I decided to go to the game. Little did I know Tom Browning would pitch a perfect game. It's a game I'll never forget.

I've been fortunate to see a few awesome pitching displays.

I was at Dwight Gooden's no hitter May 14th 1996.  I remember in that game Gerald Williams robbed a young kid named Alex Rodriguez with a big drive to center in the first game.  The game ended with Paul Sorrento hittting the highest pop up I have ever seen in my life

I was more fortunate to see David Wells' perfect game in 98 as well.  I went to the game as a last minute thing, only because Wells was pitching, and someone backed out 90 mins before game time.  He got to 3 balls once, to Paul Molitor in the 7th inning, and he hit a hot shot to Knoblauch, that he actually caught and made a strong throw to first on..........which might have been more shocking then the perfecta itself.

My dad took me to see the World Series in '56. Saw Don Larsen throw a perfect game against the Dodgers.

I was at Wrigley in September of 1995 to watch a "hometown hero" pitch for the Cardinals. Andy Benes was on the hill for St Louis that day and Frank Castillo for the Cubs. While Benes took the loss, it was a great game as Bernard Gilkey broke up Castillo's no hit bid with 2 outs in the ninth by crushing a triple to center field.

I still remember the air being let out of the stadium that day, if only for a short time. That was the closest I have come to history.

I've got a good one for PH - I was Heilman's near no hitter a few years back. I love bringing that up. Irrefutable evidence that Heilman is still a great prospect.

Oh, the best one I was at (never been to an actual no-no) was Mussina's in the playoffs, wh
