Well at least we can't lose. My question is this, name the biggest need for the Reds. We all want a winning team but what is the one spot that has to change. I would say that we need offense and if it came the the catcher spot that would be perfect. That or a lead off hitter would be nice.

Two good starting pitchers.

A good middle reliever and another good set up guy besides Burton.

A right handed hitter who can hit for power and avg. and is good with runners on base to replace Junior.

A leadoff hitter, though Hairston may be able to fullfil this role.

A coach who will MAKE these guys be patient at the plate and play their best respecitve roles which suit their respective talents.

JMHO, the Reds will play good baseball in July and make up ground.  .500 by the middle/end of July.

A leadoff hitter who can, 1 get on base and 2 run the bases, who is also a someone with some D. Living in Oregon I had a lot of fun watching Jacoby Ellsbury on my favorite college ball team (Go Beavs); however, I didn't have much fun watching him run at will on Cincy. This team needs some speed.

Teams that play bad defense will always finish out of the running.

dont you wish the Reds, were the Cubs? or Tigers who have won 6 straight, or the Red Sox, or the Angels, or Mets, or Yankees, or simply dont you wish the reds were not a last place team year in and year out?, also cinbenfan you still have 5 stars to give me.
