Read this under the Heat at the 2nd pick.

This was written:

One source close to the process says Pat Riley thinks Rose is a bad fit in the backcourt with Dwyane Wade, because drafting Rose would give Miami two athletic slashers who (a) are subpar shooters and (b) would have to try to share the ball. That source insists the Heat are bluffing about their interest in Rose in the hopes that Beasley falls to them at No. 2.

That contradicts everything I've been hearing the past month -- but the source is credible enough to be taken seriously. Still, I don't think Beasley is the type of player Riley usually appreciates.

WOW!!!!!!!!!! I did not see that comming.

rose has to be our #1 option. i don't think he's bluffing cause he said it before the lottery draft that he would like to have rose on the team.. but its ganna happen what alot of experts expect for the Bulls to draft rose and the Heat to draft beasley.

Don't want to say that I saw this coming but as you can tell from my previous posts, I mentioned this as a real possibility. Anyone who knows Miami and knows Pat Riley knows that he doesn't show his hand earlier than he needs to. At times he has even deceived.  Its clear Rose is NOT a good fit on this team, we have a very similar player in Wade. Wade is a playmaker; he needs a good shooter next to him, and that is precisely what Rose is not. We need a good front court scorer and even though he Beasley is not Riley's type of guy, which I believe, its just too good of a fit.

Whats happenin Heat fans?

Here is a question for you guys as far as a trade with Chicago. How about Hinrich, Nocioni and Gooden for Marion and your #2 ?  Miami would need to throw in a bench player though, just to make the salaries match.

Because as far as Miami keeping the #2, the only player that makes any sense for them is Mayo, who will need a year to adjust, but, will be a solid pick, whereas Hinrich is a veteran who could slip right into your starting rotation, and be a good feed for Wade. His lock down defense will also help on the opposite end.

Nocioni and Gooden give you a nice pair of PF's, although Nocioni is more a 3-4, which would also help. He is also a 3 point threat that would spred the defense and give spacing for Wade. Gooden gives you the size down low, who could also give you 14 and 10.

I think this is a fair trade for both teams which is why i am tossing it out there. It makes no sense to even think about a trade that would not benefit both teams.

Thoughts........

Have fun and enjoy what should be an exciting draft and trading season for both teams.
