I agree with buckeyes5555

When your a power house like Michigan or Ohio State your expectations are through the roof. When you don't live up to them it is always worse than a team with lower expectations. Michigan and Ohio State are like the yankees and redsox in baseball everyone else wants to see us fall. The haters are tired of us whipping their ass so when we do loose, even though it isn't by their team they love it and can't stop talking about it.

First of all - Nice to see some common sense from a buckeys fan ( buckeyes5555 ) ...

Michigan will need another year or so to get use to the new system and get the players RichRod needs to run the system  - but SOME ( not all ) of the Buckeye fans as well as the others who think Michigan will suddenly be horrible are out of their minds. In college football there is NO down year  - because usually if you do have a bad year it could mean your teams on a decline because as quickly as you have a bad season its just as quickly a team can suddenly turn around a program with a 2 years of great recruites!  Michigan  Keeps themselves at a pretty high level of play ( which is the reason why they havent missed a bowl game in 33 seasons -

Their only problem the last few years is that Carr's teams have EXTREMLY Underachieved  - everyone gives Wolverine fans alot of crap for the Appalach St. game .. i thought it was two factors in that game  1. They out played us ... and # 2. Michigans very good team with Hart, Henne And Manningham but had alot of other  players ( which yes sometimes included the three  i named )  that didnt step up and play -   and that let the oponents stick around . There were too many cases Last year (  In  2007 )  which they opponent hung in the game too long ( much like the appy game or the Wisconsin game ) and i KNEW Michigan was getting ready for a let down..... Hopefully RichRod will focus on  letting these new recruits know  -  You have to play 4 Quarters of football ...and not let the oponent hang around for three and decide... " Gee mabey we should finish our opponents off now !  When the fourth quarter rolls around!

Michigan either didnt start strong or finish strong in the game and alowed talented teams like Appy State and Oregon to stick around - hopefully they wont do that this year and play more consistant .

And sublime - no prob... it is hard to get 6 wins in the Big Ten btw ...because just like every other conference you NEVER know how quicky a team will suddenly burst onto the scene. Northwestern was 3-9 in 1999 then the next year went 8-4 and was first in the divsion  -- Indiana hasnt been on the radar in years but suddenly was good enough to make a bowl game ( which they hadnt since 1993 ) after only winning 4 games the year before.  The Big Ten has its suprises and teams that pull upsets when u least expect it so its always  a crap shoot.

Yeah, we are just in a transitioning period right now, but the pieces are there, RR just has to put them together, qbs, w/ Newsome,Threet, Forcier, and feagin we should do fine, w/ Mcguffie, Shaw, and tousaint we look fine, our OL looks great w/ Schofield, the same for our D-line w/ campbell WRs as well w/ matthews....over all we are a solid team and rich rod will make us even better than we r now

GO BLUE!!!!!!

Man, I almost like you!  Your post has some serious validity.  I couldn't agree with you more about how easy it is to take swipes at the Big 10, Namely, UM and OSU.  Who else is there, no one, so they have to carry the torch year in and year out.  Lastly though, a powerhouse will always be located at the BIG HOUSE, regardless of who is in charge of the power company.
