So who do you guys think is the greatest 49er that is not in the HOF but you think should be? He can be active or retired. I just wanna see who you guys think will be added to the list of 49ers in the HOF someday. I will add some that I can think of for the poll but please feel free to write in.

This is a hard question... they are all great players. I voted for John Taylor... mostly because I'm a little biased. He was always one of my favorite players to watch. Along side Rice... they were an awesome tandom.

John Taylor, Brent Jones, and Dwight Clark are all suprises that they aren't in the HOF, Charles Haley should be there but he didn't spend all of his career as a niner, The most shocking though is Roger Craig not in. The guy was the focal point of the running game in the true west coast offense for years, he deserves to be in the Hall right now.

If Marshall Faulk gets in, then I would be very surprised if Roger Craig didn't get in.
Simply because Faulk was a carbon copy of Craig. They both played the game in almost exactly the same way.
I find it odd that Brent Jones and Randy Cross aren't in it.

Roger Craig. Roger Craig is the prototype of the new generation of RBs that can Run, Catch, and Block. First player to be a 1000/1000 man, 4 Pro-Bowls, NFL 80's All-Decade Team (along with with Walter Payton (HOF), Erik Dickerson (HOF) & John Riggs (HOF), and in 1998 NFL Offensive Player of the Year.
There is really no reason why Roger Craig should not be in the HOF based upon his performance.

Good points so far guys, I also voted for Craig.I really don't know why the guy isn't in.I guess the voters are still using that old bar of 10,000 yds for rb's.Which is ridiculous. I also think Haley should be in,over a hundred career sacks and being the only guy with 5 rings pretty much clinches it.(even if he won a few with the cowgirls) I think Dwight Clark also has an argument, simply because like I put on the poll, Lynn Swann is in and let's see he had but one catch he's remembered for? He was a mediocre receiver who got in because of the steeler success of the 70's.His stats read 336 rec. 5462 yds 51 tds. Then you look at Clarks stats, 506 rec. 6750 yds. 48 tds. I put Davis on here because he was one of the lesser known potential guys,he is one of only 2 players all time to have 5 or more interception in 5 consecutive seasons(1996-2000).And he is the all time leader in consecutive NFL playoff games(5)with at least one interception. He was a very solid corner.I could keep going but I'm more interested in you guys' opinion,so thanks for writing in and for voting, keep them coming.
