Here is an interesting link explaining potential trade partners with the Bulls involving Hinrich.

Nice lunch read ginney!

I like the Portland deal the most.  I been saying for a while the Bulls could get that #13 pick.  I forgot Ben was restricted at first and I said he would look great there but Kirk would work as well.  He's a nice spot up shooter to go along with the low post game they have.  If I'm Pax I would trade Hinrich for Lafrentz and the #13 straight up (although I wouldn't mind getting Frye and maybe including Hughes if it works).  With that #13th pick, I would pick either Roy Hibbert or Brandon Rush.  I would perfer Rush at 6'7 with his good defense and outside shooting, especially if we will be moving Gordon this summer, but Hibbert will be a nice low post  prospect to push our young bigs and would address our second biggest need and make the team complete.  If that's not working, I would consider Nene for Kirk but I'm not sure there are enough minutes at PF for any veteran guy to come in and be happy.  We already have a nice young core of bigs.  That is what everybody does not realize.  We still have Noci, Tyrus, & Gooden who combined makes a great rotation at the 4.  Noci with his hustle, outside shooting, & strong drives to the basket (weak finishes though..LOL).  Tryus with his defense and great jumping abilitiy (I can't wait to see when his and D. Rose figure it out together), and Gooden with his low post present (he's going to play his best ball here and Chicago and is only 27/28).  I hope he gets re-signed.  Honestly knowing how Pax thinks, I wouldn't be surprised if we kept Kirk and moving Gordon via sign and trade with a few other players (Drew Gooden) for Elton Brand.  I also wouldn't be surprised if we kept the same team with the addition of Rose and my Joey Dorsey in the second round if we get lucky.  Either way I'm happy and we should definitely be in the top half on the league for the next few years.  Once Vinny figures it out in a year or so, we'll be fighting Boston for the east titlee.  IN PAX I TRUST!

I like the Clippers offer. Maggette can create unlike anyone on the current Bulls roster. I think Gordon will be dealt later. Maggette's scoring would take pressure off a young Rose and help the Bulls play a more up tempo offense. The question is what to do with the seventh pick.

If we get the seventh pick, lets how Brook Lopez is still on the Board.

I am leery of picking up a 2nd pick as the Bulls are young enough.  I would actually look at Denver and Camby.  NeNe and his weight and knee problems scare me.  Camby and his defensive prowess could only help Thomas and Noah.  Acquiring Camby could free up the freedom to get creative and trading Gooden.  He will attract interest because his contract expires after next season.  Trading Hinrich is an opportunity to get more experienced at the 4/5 hole and is something this team can use.

The belief that the Bulls are set when it comes to bigs is pretty funny.  Maybe, if you put all of their skills into one player, you have a complete low post scoring, rebounding, shot blocking force.  Otherwise, what we know is that Tyrus Thomas and Joakim Noah are still projects, Nocioni is nice, but better suited at limited minutes as a 4 with the majority of his minutes backing up Deng.  Aaron Gray is a 8-12 min per game foul eater.  And Drew Gooden is a reliable but unspetacular guy that you can get by with provided the team around him is good enough.  Nowhere in there is any mention of words like tough or  irreplaceable.

But look, Hinrich for Camby straight up trade doesn't work for me because i think Bulls would be giving relatively young PG for almost over the hill C, Nuggets would need to sweeten a deal a little bit.

I like the Maggette deal, he's a great scorer who can take the ball to the basket.  If not that deal then the Blazers one is ok, take Channing Frye and LaFrenze's expiring contract so they can clear cap room.
