The only Duke player in the draft is DeMarcus Nelson (oblviously).  I've been looking at mock drafts and they have him going to the Spurs, Lakers, Celtics, or go undrafted.  I would love to see him go to any of these teams because any of them could win a championship, but if he goes undrafted he gets to choose his team.  Where would you guys like to see him go and do you think he will be drafted?

Being a Eastern Conference fan and a fan of the Charlotte Bobcats, I would love him to go there, but the Celtics would be an awesome place for him to start. He'd get mentored by Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett, and Sam Cassell. He would be learning from some of the game's greatest.

DeMarcus Nelson played well at the NBA Pre-Draft Camp and made the second team there.  His stock was solid, somewhere in the mid 40's then.  He hasn't been outstanding in individual workouts as he now is a projected late 2nd to undrafted pick.  I see him being drafted by a contender somewhere in the 55 to 60 range just like DJ Strawberry last year.  He will play in the NBDL for most of the year and probalby get some playing time in the NBA later in the year.

The word around many of the draft boards are that DeMarcus may go undrafted and have the option of choosing which team he would like to play for.  The other option is what has already been mentioned about going late in the 2nd round and having to start the year out in the D-league.

DeMarcus brings athleticism and good defensive ability, which NBA teams love.  However, I think many NBA executives and coaches are concerned with his size (he measured only 6'1" at the combine) and his inconsistent outside shot.  DeMarcus didn't really help his cause by fading away in the final couple weeks of this season at Duke (where was he in that West Virginia game?).  His career was a good one and being that he was a 4 year guy shows the league that he should have the maturity to step right in and fill a role on an NBA team.

Here's hoping DeMarcus hears his name called on Thursday night and he has a successful NBA career.

I'm with Spudstr04, I want him here in Charlotte, too many tarheels on our team/staff. Also heard rumors about the Bobcats trying to get Rasheed Wallace, that would be 2 tarheels on the year, Larry Brown being the other. That's why I have such a hard time cheering for them. I know they are Bobcats now, but it's looking more like an UNC alumni team every year.

I am a die hard Duke fan, but Nelson doesn't deserve to get drafted. He faded at the end of the year and showed that he ins't good enough for the NBA. He is the reason that Duke lost in the second round. I think that we are going to be a lot better without Demarcus next year. I'm glad he is gone!
