I see Rose as a future BUST

I hope im wrong. I really do. But for some reason watching that draft i got that forboding feeling that Rose is going to be the bust of the draft. He does not look like he is ready for the NBA just yet, where Beasly and Mayo Both look like NBA players now. Even in a few years i just dont see rose panning out.

I dont know why i feel this but i think in 5 years we are going to look back and say, "wow, we coulda had beasly or mayo or lopez or any of those other guys!"

I hope im wrong, but i just feel like he is a major bust.

I really doubt Rose is going to be a bust. Seeing the footage on him this kid is a winner. He took a crummy team and took them to the finals in his freshman year. He creates his own shots, can dish out and has exceptional vision. He has a NBA body already and is on the big size for a point. He will make these Bulls better as he will grab alot of attention with his explosiness and feed to the open man. I liked Beasley also but Rose was a no brainer.

This was a pretty good draft and alot of teams made out. Now Pax needs to unclog some depth in the back court and get a big body to clear some space for Roses drives to the lane.

I was nothing bt impressed with Roses skills and to think he will only get better. Rose is going to be a all star sooner than later.

Umm... Memphis has won 30 games in each of the last 3 years and were a number one or two seed in each of those tournaments as well.  Crummy they have not been since the 90's before Calipari took over.

Derrick Rose is going to be a stud but we have to be patient!  Despite his goal of being league MVP as a rook it probably wont happen.  It took Deron Williams 2 seasons to become arguably one of the best PG in the league & in his 3rd season took over the league.  Chris Paul was on another level out of the gate.  Is Rose the next CP3? Here's hoping! I would be willing to settle for the next Deron Williams if we have to wait a couple years for him to develop.

I would expect you to receive many heated responses about how wrong you are.  Everyone here in Chicago is in love with Rose.  While I think he will not be a bust in the traditional sense, I do not think that his production will ever reach his draft status and expectations.  And when Beasley and Mayo and Kevin Love all turn out to be better players, the fans and media will all be asking why the Bulls did not take one of those three.  Even though if they did, Paxson would be harrassed constantly by media and fans alike today.
