I was around from near the beginning of this thread, so for me it's just a matter of keeping up with new additions, but if I were to join it now, I would probably try to just add people to my favorites list and not worry about trying to rate every posting. That's way too much work.
But if you go back about 15-20 pages, and add those people who are not already on your favorites list, you will catch most of the people who post on here regularly. If you miss someone who only posted once or twice and then didn't return, that's not your problem.
Then, if you check back once in a while and catch up on the new additions, and leave a posting to show you are around, you can at least get added by those who joined more recently.
Really, it's not that big of a deal what your reputation is once you get to where you can set your own avatar. After that, it doesn't make much difference to most of us. But it is nice to have a friendly place like this to drop in and say hi to everyone.
