The Braves are now closer to the bottom of the division than they are to the top.
And they have been swept twice at home by the Phillies.

Awful. That's all I really have to say. The Braves should do MUCH better than this. They are playing like they're the worst team in baseball as of late, but they should be much better. The preseason favorite to win the World Series by many -- including Ken Rosenthal, Peter Gammons, and Jayson Stark -- has stumbled closer to last place in the division...

Thats the reason I dont care for "preseason picks" at all. Smoltz and Moylan, done for the year. Hampton hasnt even made it back. Glavine has spent a great deal of it on the DL. Sorinao been very lacking. And that is just the pitchers. Then you have to go the whole year with, well, they were preseason picks to win it all. Excuses, excuses, excuses but injuries are the truth. I guess we should feel lucky the Braves are not in dead last.

I agree, went to game tonight what i saw is zero energy.  Lack of passion.  I was clear that the Braves have lost that kick you butt attitude.  I hope it changes soon...one good thing that happen is that i had awesome tickets.  directly behind third base dugout...also got to visit the 755 club for dinner....I give that a 8 out of 10.....Lots of fun till the game began.

It could have something to do with five guys playing last night that are just returning from injuries and in some cases still hurting. However, what I am seeing looks a lot like a Braves team on the cusp of giving up. Take away the head to head and we are dead even with the Phillies and we have a better interleague record. I don't get the down in the mouth attitude when we play them.
