I think this pick will either be corner or widereceiver. I voted for Mike Jenkins because I think he grades higher than Mario Manningham. However, either pick could contribute.

Brandon Albert would be a smart pick too even though the o-line is not an issue. There's a lot of money tied up in the line and age will be an issue in two years. It would be a pick for the future of your franchise not for the right now approach, even though adding solid depth to a line pays dividends.

If you're thinking of voting for a RB, don't. Marion Barber is a beast and will be given a chance to tote the rock this year. Also, if you still want to vote for Arkansas running back Felix Jones take a look at the teams inbetween the Cowboys picks. Steelers, Titans, Seahawks, Jaguars and Chargers. Of those teams only Seattle might be targeting a rb, not to mention that there will be solid rb prospects to be had in round two.

That's only if Commissioner Goddell reinstates him.

I think they need to get a wide out first.  First reason is that the average age of the receiver are needless to say up there.  Jenkins will still be there because the other teams picking between the Cowboys draft in the first round doesn't not need a cornerback.

Jerry Jones has gone Razorback crazy, he will take either Jones or McFadden with the 22 pick, and since McFadden will be long gone, that leaves only Jones.  JJ obviously feels that Barber cannot do it alone, or else he would have been, not starting his first game in the playoffs.

On a sad note- Division 2 offensive Guard Heath Benedict from Newberry College was found dead in his Florida home Wednesday, March 26th.  He was projected as a forth round pick. RIP.

Mike Jenkins is a solid pick and Dallas needs help in the secondary. At least they axed Jacques Reeves. That guy couldn't cover Mike Golic.

The Cowboys also need offensive line help but the more I think about it they have to find a running back to compliment Marion Barber. I never was much of  Julius Jones fan. Sure he could run to daylight but only on the rare occasions the offense executed their blocking assignments to perfection or the defense wasn't paying attention. Felix Jones could be a good fit. (I am suddenly wondering how many NFL players have the last name "Jones")

I hope Pacman comes to Dallas for the sheer entertainment value alone. The strip clubs must be salivating but hopefully beefing up security as we speak. I know the NFL is a phenomenal business and while the league may strive for this squeaky-clean image everyone loves a good drama. If TO and Pacman are in Dallas together it could be better than the "Dallas" television series. But that's not saying much is it?

2007 NFC EAST CHAMPIONS!!!...oh wait, that doesn't matter since the New York Football Giants came into our home turf and punched us square in the jaw. Oh well. At least they beat the Patriots. That made me smile.

Jenkins first. The CB position is the greatest need. Manningham will probably still be there when our next pick comes, so we can wait and get two quality first rounds picks that should have an impact in there first season.

I've been watching your mock drafts and I've been wondering where do you get the list of the 7 players you pick as an option because some of them don't in anyway fit to the team that you have drafting next needs.

I've been watching your mock drafts and I've been wondering where do you get the list of the 7 players you pick as an option because some of them don't in anyway fit to the team that you have drafting next needs.

Theres a few factors. Early on in the mock I was using top 8 available players based on Mel Kiper's Big Board and Todd McShay's rankings regardless of team needs. I figured if a team need wasn't one of the top 8 prospects it would be too much of a reach on the guy anyway.

I now tailor it slightly more to the teams, but still with top available prospects. There's also an OTHER option, so if you don't see the guy there you can still get a vote in for the guy. (team x needs a wr but the available wrs grade half to a whole round later I won't put them on the poll. you can however still cast a vote for them by voting OTHER and listing the player.)

Another thing I now try to avoid, is having two prospects at the same position. They'll split the votes, and a third prospect at a different position could end up winning the poll.

I don't agree with some of the picks, like Denver taking a RB, but the idea was that with the more votes that are acquired, the silly votes would get beaten outright in the poll. With players winning team polls as low as 30% or so, that tells you the team is just as likely going in a different direction.

Carson is not that fast and if you look at him he looks bigger than he really is. That can be good but I don't see Jerry taking Carson with the 22nd pick

I think they take Phillip Merling, DL Clemson.  He's tood good of a talent to pass up and the 'Boys need D help, even if their D Line is good.
