Gary, to quote Sports Night, "You're so full of crap it's coming out of your ears."

Roy Williams was quoted today as saying, for the umpteenth time, it didn't make any difference where they played.  Whereupon Pitino responded, fine, let's play in Louisville.

If college bowl games aren't played in the home team's stadium, the NCAA tournament shouldn't be either.  End of story.

Umm, I hate to tell you, but they AREN'T playing at home. They're playing in Charlotte, 144 miles away. Just so happens most people in Charlotte are UNC alums.

Get over it and quit crying.

SH*T happens. whiners, shut up and go away. UNC still had by far the toughest bracket considering seeds 2-5.

Yeah S#@* happens seems to always fall in NC or DUKE laps .  I really don't care for you NC fans or team I'm A L'ViLLe fan but i give credit were its do. NC has a super team besides Kansas i think you guys have the best. But thats why we play the game. Trust me WA.St. lost the game before tip-off they were scared but this BET has wars like this nite in nite out you don't have to come find us we will come and find you. Enough of this homecourt adv. you know we that its impiortant  but thats the breaks so lets play ball. Let the better team win and if we win I don't want to hear about lousy refs like the last game (TENN) My brother in law lives in NC and he said that NC wanted TeNN and not L'ViLLe . He said they thought that they could crush TeNN. but were a little uneasy about L'ViLLe and Rick P. He did say that NC was going to win but you can't pick your brother in laws they come with the wife. Good Luck against us but not to much L'ViLLe 83-80

Just so ya'll know I ain't for either team-think it'll probably be one of the best and most exciting games of the tournament. And I agree that if anyone should have a  home court advantage it is the #1 team in the nation, however I think in future years to escape these problems the tournament committee should not schedule 1rst and 2nd round games along with sweet sixteen and elite eight games all in the same state. That way no team would have a walk all the way to the final four.

Ya'll NC fans know good and well that if someone else had this kind of advantage that Roy Boy would be throwing a fit just like Pitino. The reason it doesn't bother him is because he's the one with the advantage.

And before ya'll tell all the UL fans to stop crying, maybe you shouldn't all be crying like babies in the stands after Duke beat ya'll this year for your first loss.c'mon.

It does crack me up that all these posters don't have a problem with high seeds playing in their home states--unless it's UNC.

For the one poster who's crying about the oddity of having regionals so often in a state that has only two decent-sized cities: Not sure how you define "decent sized," but that's not the point.  The point is that the state of North Carolina is a basketball hotbed, with intense fan interest (four high-profile ACC programs, and several other solid mid-major programs like, um, I don't know, Davidson, maybe?), GREAT facilities, and the necessary infrastructure to support sub-regionals and regionals.  Gee, maybe that's why they're held so often in NC . . .

Ya think???

As I said in another thread, I remember many years where UNC got screwed over and had to play lower-seeded teams in their home states and sometimes ON THEIR HOME FLOORS!  In 1985, Carolina was the #2 seed in the Southeast and ended up playing Notre Dame, the #7 seed, on Notre Dame's home floor!

That's right, their home floor.  Not 144 miles away--it was a home game for Notre Dame.

Was that fair?

Everything evens out in the long run.  UNC like every other school has been on the short end of the stick, too, so quit whining like a bunch of babies.

You can't schedule things years in advance and have them happen on purpose.  There is no conspiracy with the NCAA and North Carolina.  That being said, there are some UNC fans saying (and Roy Williams) that this game is in Charlotte and not Chapel Hill, so there is no home-court advantage.  Its 100 and something whole miles away.  Please.  Let's just play the game and if you all win by five or less, it's because of the home-court advantage.  If we win, we're the best team in the history of college basketball.

And I'm not sure the why the guy from Kentucky was making incest jokes about North Carolina.  I don't claim him.

Hey  nobody said that NC fans were smart, except themselves. They will believe that we are going to roll over and play dead  like their wives do in bed or is it their sisters their in for a surprise.

Pretty interesting that a fan of a Kentucky team would bring up sleeping with sisters....Sounds jealous to me that a North Carolina fan took his from him.

Hey Finisher,

Your post is not very intelligent, but it would make a little more sense if you used things like periods, commas, and capital letters.
