UNC or Duke always get to play in there home state-whoever wins the acc gets to play in north carolina....This is a joke. Is it not enough that unc and duke coaches do not have to recruit players because they have ESPN and CBS constantly recruiting for these two schools with yankee like hype. If Handsbrough played for louisville or syracuse or kentucky he would be an average player. Since he plays for the overhyped acc school of north carolina he is an all american. That is a joke. For crying out loud the Freshman Patrick Patterson of kentucky outplayed him. If only Patterson played for duke he would of been an all american this year with all that acc hype.

There is a rule specifically made to stop kentucky. That rule was made after duke played uk in lexington in 1979. "70 mile rule" The rule effectively disallowed kentucky from ever playing a ncaa tourny game in kentucky since ky does not have a gym big enough in the state to play anywhere but louisville which was stopped by the 70 mile rule. It is curious that louisville played in lexington last year (remember the many complaints about that one.)

To make the ncaa tourny fair unc and duke must play outside there home state which one of them plays the first round every year and make them and all number one seed teams go somewhere other then there home states every dog gone year. I want to know when are the other schools that are not in the espncbsaccspinzone going to wake up and start complaining about this.

I'm writing this as I watch the refs in the unc louisville women game that the refs are calling tight on louisville and hacking great defense for unc. jeezzzz.

THE FACT IS WHEN YOU PLAY UNC OR DUKE YOU PLAY 8 AGAINST 5. ALWAYS.

TO STOP THIS GET THESE TEAMS OUT OF NORTH CAROLINA AND MAKE THEM PLAY OUT OF STATE LIKE KENTUCKY HAS TO.

All these people need to stop crying about where a team plays. At the end of the day you have to get down to playing basketball. These kids have played in hostile environments all their lives. They are top notch players and should be able to adjust. The Heels lost two games AWAY from home this season. Take care of business during the regular season you won't have to worry about geographical location. In 2005 UNC did not play in NC and won the title when Illinois had the "geographical advantage."  The Final four aint in NC so if the Heels win that, there should be nothing left to say. Let's Go Heels.

You have the status of "amateur below your name for a reason.  You make no legitimate argument but in fact WHINE about Duke or Carolina.  The regionals and subregionals aren't held in the state of NC every year.  They are moved around on a rotating basis.  Some years, games get played in NC.  Some years they don't.

As for Kentucky, it's not an issue of playing in their home state, the issue was they played on their home court-BIG DIFFERENCE.

As for Hansbrough (and yes it's Hansbrough, not Handsbrough) he averages over 20 pts and 10 boards a game, shoots over 80% from the foul line and hustles like no one else in the college game, which means he is involved in almost every play.  If the ball is around he's after it and usally getting it.  Hansbrough would be an All-American if he had stayed in-state and played for Missouri.  He's just that good.

Your entire argument is centered around bitterness and resentment.  I'd like to hear your comments IF Hansbrough had decided to play at Kentucky instead.

In the meantime, get a valid point or get off the boards!
