I hoped and prayed that Texas could do the unthinkable and make it to the Final Four. But, it was not to be, this year. I hope that whatever each player decides to to do with regards to moving on to the next level is thought out and smart decisions are made.

It was a great season. Congratulations Texas Longhorns. I was sure hoping they'd win today. Texas has a heck of a team. A class act. Big 12 Co-champs. A deep run in the tournament. A season to be proud of as they did the University of Texas and the Big 12 Conference proud.
I dont think anyone expected the horns to do as well as they have after losing Durant. Ranked in the top 10 throughout the year, #2 seed in the tourney with talks of being a #1, elite 8, win the big 12 and almost the big 12 tourney. This speaks highly of coach barnes and his recruits. I think the program is in good hands and will continue to rise and move deeper and deeper into future tournaments. I hate how the season has ended and am shocked by the score, but optimistic about the future.

You must be the most sane UT fan in the world man. I totally agree that it was unthinkable for them to make it to the Final Four, shoot i thought it was unthinkable they would make it past the 2nd round, i guess we all were suprised.
Congrats on a very good season, except losing to Tech that was gross. If yall can get a good inside presence next year yall could be knockin on the Final Four door.
Let me put it as simply as this - Texas over acheived this year. They should not have been where they were at. They beat a very good UCLA team - they beat a very good Tennessee team and they beat a very good Kansas team. What happened today was they got exposed for who they are - a small team that played big w/ big hearts. There is no other way to put it than to say that Memphis did a great job of exposing our size. When you have guys that are as good as you, but are 4- 5 inches taller than you, you have mismatches and are in for a long day. Enough about today - I'm proud of our boys and the season they gave us. Great job and look forward to next year.
i just wanna say congrats to Texas on a great year! you have some excellent players and i have to say- i was al ittle nervous going into this game, after watching Texas dispatch stanford the way they did, but all in all, there is nothing to be ashamed of you have a great, classy coach. good luck next year... and GO TIGERS!!
yep mdeyre, I was thinking the same thing yesterday. if DJ stays we will be in the final 4 next year. Got to give my props to to Stinking Memphis. We looked bad on offense, but I think thier defense had a lot to do with it.
I think Big Dexter might actually turn out to be a real live player.
Im happy with making it to the elite eight. Texas is the 5th best team in the nation right now in my opinion. Next year i would be happy with another elite eight apperance. Texas does not have the tourney resume that programs like UNC or UCLA has. So it is nice to create some history that Longhorn Basketball can build on.
yes...congrats to the longhorns. i wasn't we would get past the 1st round at the start of the season. has been a pleasent surprise. if DJ stays then we'll compete for a NC next year.
great game and good luck to Memphis. they are truely a good team even if they don't come from a power conference. i think rose will be the best NBA player from this year's draft.
It was a great season but it sucks to get so close and then to get blown out in the last game. I guess its easier to take it that, than a last second heart breaker. Like everyone else said if DJ is back then we will be too. Hook'em Horns! And good luck to Memphis.
