What the f$%k is going on tonight? Even the broadcasters are picking up on it. Alexander Ovechkin is a little bit%h, he should've received a major cross-checking penalty when he took down Eric Staal after the whistle blew. Then he pretty much jumped Bret Hedican at the end of the 2nd period and then Hedican was the one who got the penalty. The referees are giving him special treatment tonight and he's taking advantage of it by playing dirty. He isn't even the best player on the ice tonight. I will admit that the Carolina Hurricanes are not playing that well tonight, but the Washington Capitals are getting all the calls lately, especially in the 2nd period. If the Capitals do hold on and win this, I look for the Canes to come out firing in the last to home games against the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Atlanta Thrashers. I hope the 3rd period is called fairly, but I doubt it.
