I predicted a Memphis/Kansas final after Memphis

Nobody is replying to your thread. It could be that know, making any predictions concerning the Memphis tigers are by action; moot.  You said you "like Kansas" yet you have a hookemhorns screen name?  What is with the conference love fest.  Pardon me, but arent rivalries supposed to be comprised of a healthy respect/healthy dislike?  Your not supposed to root for rivals, its against the rules.  Newsflash:  did you see the derby the other day, seems like mid-major sounds like a good horse to bet on. 

If you are going to quote me, use the entire quote. I said I like Kansas to win this game. By that, mean that I like Kansas's chances of winning this game, and you know what? I was right!!!

When Kansas plays Texas I am Longhorn fan. When a Big 12 team plays out of the Big 12 conference. I am going to root for the Big 12 team playing.

What a game. It was hard fought. In the end, it was free throws. Memphis knew it was their weakness.

Congratulations, KU Jayhawks. You brought home the NCAA basketball championship to the Big 12 Conference.

too much oppposition is more than enough against this poor wretch.  You predicted the greatest comeback in college basketball history?  Predicted Kansas to overcome a 9 point deficit with liltle over two minutes to go,  You predicted Chalmers hitting that miracle shot/  Memphis shot about their season average from the line, which would have been good enough if they would have fouled late which was another what if.  Hats off to KU for not giving up.  But for anyone to say they expected for things to happen in that fashion,they are being ludacris.  Let me know about any more of your hunches, ill be sure to call las vegas and bet against them!

A  Texas fan created this thread predicting Kansas to win and bring the National Championship to the Big 12. You said his prediction was premature, when do you usually make a prediction? Then you say he's not supposed to root for another Big 12 school because it's a rival.

Who made up that rule? There were plenty of fans of both the Big 12 and Conference USA rooting for and against their member schools in this National Championship game.

No need to make an issue out of a Horns fan wanting another team in his conference to win the National Championship.  Good luck to the Memphis Tigers next season. I hope your team does well in Conference USA and in the NCAA's.

I just wish that Calipari didn't decline a Kansas/Memphis game for the 2009 season when contacted in January by Kansas Senior Associate Athletic Director Keating. Then changed his mind after the NCAA tournament and after Kansas had already completed their out of conference schedule. It would have been a great game.

We do have Tennessee coming to Allen Fieldhouse this year. That should be a great game.

I never claimed to know how Kansas was going to win. I just said they would. I may have underestimated Memphis' game against Kansas, that is for sure. KU pulled it out in the end and it was an awesome game.

All I am saying is that when I looked at the final four, I guessed right when KU and Memphis made the final. Good guess? Probably.  No need to get your panties in a wad.

What's this crap, making up rules on who can cheer for my team? I would feel the same way if Tx made the final and we didn't. When we play conference games, it's "Whup their sorry ass!" Otherwise, I'm all for success by BigXII teams. The stronger the league becomes, the better -- even if it means KU only wins 3 of every 4 championships.

Newsflash: Jayhawks meet Longhorns on the gridiron this fall, as well as at least once on the hardwood. Plenty of chance there to come out with "my team, not yours" sentiments for those games.
