And if we reduce the number of cars on the road, we put a lot of people out of work. Such as the car manufacturers, the car dealers, the mechanics, the auto motive part stores, and car washers, as well as gas station attendants (the #1 employer of New Jersey).
What are you going to do with all of these newly unemployed people braniac
THERE WILL STILL BE CARS!!!! Why is that hard to understand? Car manufacturers can switch their lines to making buses and engines.(those that still have humans in the assembly process, for those that still assemble in the US) Dealers will still be around but at lesser numbers. Mechanics can switch to being bus, train, subway mechanics. Gas station attendants? Are you seriously using that as an argument to stop mass transportation? Gas attendants in 2 states? Many of whom can not even speak english and whose citizenship is in question. You can make the same argument for getting rid of the IRS. What will happen to all those IRS agents. All the tax lawyers. etc.. What about electronic tolls? What happens to all the human toll collectors?
The fear of losing jobs is not a valid reason to stop moving forward. If that was the case robots on the CAR ASSEMBLY LINE would not exist with todays current UNIONS! When was the last time you called a company or office and it was answered by a human? When was the last time you deposited or withdrew money at a bank teller instead of an ATM machine?
Dont question me on job loss when it has been going on for decades thanks to machines and automation.
