That's makes way too much sense for yout o get agreement from most of the Phils fans on here.  They think short term and place way too much significance on what just happened.  Also a very very pessimistic bunch.  It sucks, and the whole Philly fans taking pride in being overcritical is getting old.

So, Bruntlett had a bad game so he'll suck until he wins a game.  If Kendrick hits a HR, some of these guys will want him batting clean-up.  If Charlie gives Howard a green light 3-0 and he pops up, Charlie is an idiot.  Everyone is a genius after the fact and the move that was not made was SURELY going to work out.

Although losing him for the season might not happen, if a DL stint is more likely if he plays, sitting him an extra game would be prudent.  I'll trust JRolls and the docs on this one and won't second guess them regardless of the outcome.

Bruntlett is the new guy on the team and is pressing.  Give him some time.  He has stunk a few games and if he doesn't settle down soon, he'll be gone.  He knows he needs to get that bunt down and I'm sure he's being harder on himself than idiots like you.  He hasn't performed to date.  I think he will.  You don't because unless you actually see it, you can't imagine it.  That is what makes you a bandwagon type fan.  Bruntlett isn't going to be an all-star and hopefully not any every day player.  He will be a valuable utility player.  He has in the past.  You are judging his talents soley on what you have seen him do to date.  He has had 12 stinkin ABs.  If goes  3 for 3 he'll be batting .333.  Not that that's relevant, it shows how small of a sample you are make ultimate judgments about.  That makes you ignorant about baseball. 

Your "2008 MVP" had several chances to win the game as well and didn't come through.  I'm not bashing Chase, he will come thru more times than most, but he did not last night.  That's baseball.  There is a reason that you make the Hall of Fame if you succeed 3 out of 10 times.  If you didn't see Chase perform in the past, you would

You keep on towing that pessimistic line, and bashing everyone that did bad the previous game.  I'll keep positive until I see a reason to show concern.   I won't do that the 1st 10 games of the season and won't judge a player soley on his performance over a 48 hour period.
