I'm happy with this because he brings two things that we need.

1. an outside shooter aside from stokes

2. decent height after Clark, Anderson, and Cunningham leave

6'6" is decent, but Jay Still owes me a Center.

At least Malcolm Grant's transfer isn't in vain.

I hear he is a good outside shooter but not very athletic.  I suppose he'll sit out 08-09 and will get Anderson's minutes in 09-10.   Although they'll miss Anderson's defense and rebounding, King will be especially valuable when Stokes is on the bench getting a breather.

They still need to replace Clark's minutes at the combo-forward and will need an athletic power forward to replace Cunningham.  I suppose they are hoping Isaiah Armwood will be one of the replacements.

Now we wait to hear if Tyreke Evans chooses VU.  I know he has his detractors due to his attitude, but I think he will fit very well with the current group for a year.  If by some chance he decides to stay two years, the team will certainly be headed back to the NCAA's again in 09-10.

Forget Evans he is a lost cause. What we need now is Dominic Cheek and Isaiah Armwood both will come in with King o and don't forget Maalik Wayns the best player in Philly once Tyreke is gone and arguably the best Point Gaurd in the nation.

I wouldnt go so far to call tyreke a lost cause especially with  Callipari to the nba rumors swirling.  I know he's getting a contract extention but I still wouldnt put jumping to the nba past him.  However, I would agree that it seems like a long shot at this point and it may be better off that way, from what I hear about his style both on and off court.

Also dont forget all the evans being a done deal to memphis is coming from people inside memphis.  On April 4th there was an article in a paper (I forget which one might have been the philly inquirer) which had an interview with Evans in which he said he was heavily leaning toward Nova after visiting the campus.  He hasnt visited any campus since so maybe Villanova has more of a chance then Memphis officials would like you to think.  Also at least a few members of his family have been seen  wearing Nova apparel and said they would like him to be close to home.

I actually think it is better that he is sitting out because next year he might not get much time with Clark, Anderson, and Cunningham in the lineup but with them gone when he is able to play it allows for king to come in and see time right away.

Thats an interesting point about King being better off sitting out a year.  However, that does depend on Clark finally taking the next step which we have been waiting for the last two years.

I understand he is 6-6 and 230 lbs!  He scored 27 points vs E Kentucky in November and is a 40% shooter.

I suspect he'd be more effective at 215 lbs.  He'll need as much quickness as possible in the Big East.  Maybe he'll go on the d
