I'll still take that playoff appearance over losing the starting job. Its the little things Young does, the elusiveness, the mobility, that don't go on the stat sheet, that make Young the better QB. Just like that run he made at the end of the Rose Bowl when he, not Leinart, won the Rose bowl. He's a gamer.
And the rookie year there was no comparison. I grant you he had a sophmore slump, frankly, they both did after promising rookie years. But, the playoffs Pete, they made it, and they don't make it with any other QB on their roster. The same cannot be said of Leinart and his team, who actually performed better with the backup. Plus, Fitzgerald, Bolden, Bryant Johnson (who is a stud and will light it up for SFas a #1 you heard it here first) and Edgerrin James. And Young had LenDale White and who?
That said, if you want me to wait a whole another year to hear you admit you are wrong about Young and Leinart, then fine, you've got another year. As I said, I just ask that you admit it when you're proven wrong.
