huh...i could have sworn...anywho, thanks for correcting me.
To the post that it is lebron and some bums, did you even hear about the trade? last year it was lebron and bums, now it is lebron and the cavs.
the way i see it they match up very well now. did they even play a game with the new cavs against the celtics? i dont think so...anyhow my rundown...
Ben wallace vs. Garnett.......great matchup of two veterans who have been in the league and have played a lot of hard nosed games. Ben has more of the post season experience than garnett though. I love garnett, and i am a fan of wallace. Garnett is taller by 2 inches and lighter by 20 lbs. i like garnett in this matchup but it will be a hard fought series.
Z vs. perkins....i dont know too much about perkins or the rest of the celtics' centers, but Z is a very big guy, at 7 foot 3. the rest of the celtics centers are less than 7 foot. Z can take the ball from anywhere and make shots from under the rim, 3 point shots, and everything in between. Z wins on the centers
Lebron vs. Pierce.....pierce is a great player, he just can not compare to lebron james. teams can not stop lebron, i doubt pierce can, i doubt he can out score james too. in most cases pierce wins but not in the one. lebron is the better player.
west/wally vs. Allen....west and wally(though wally plays SF he plays SG because of lebron, he plays SF when lebron is out) they play well, they can shot, wally is known for his three pointers, but ray allen is just too good. Ray wins this one
Gibson/jones vs rondo/cassel....these are not the best PGs in the league, but gibson and jones can hit the 3, i dont know too much about rondo and cassel except that rondo is very good. on the rankings for PG he is 16 while jones and gibson are 30 or more. Gibson has been out a lot because of an injury, they both average 10 points (allen and gibson) i think it will be hard to decide between these two. ill put it at tie...
so far Cavs: lebron and Z........Boston: garnett and allen.....1 tie
the bench....i dont know anything about the celtics bench. with boston's record, they cant have a bad bench. the cavs have a great defense on the bench. ill take the celtics because a team with that kind of record cant be without a good bench.
coaching....i dont know anything about doc rivers, from stats ive seen it shows that he isnt that good in the playoffs,0-4. he also has had some very bad teams. mike brown was on the spurs coaching staff when they won the championship a few years ago. he also led the cavs to the finals last year. with coaching i will take cleveland.
in the end it is 3-3-1 any way you look at it. they match up well in my eyes, it will make for a great series.
