Chris Johnson fills the need of the Titans for someone with dredlocks! In all honesty, the Titans need a true #2 runner. LenDale White just isn't cutting it, so he will probably become the third down back.

What does everyone think of the Titans trading Pacman for only a fourth rounder?

I didn't think drafting an RB, as such, was a bad move for Tennessee.  White is not a premier runner... he's better suited to the short yardage/goal line stuff, and maybe blocking downs.  What this pick really says is that the guy they picked last year didn't pan out as well as they had hoped he would.

That being said, I might have waitied until round 2 or 3.  There were a lot of good RB available in this draft to choose from.

As for the trade of Jones, if a 4th was the best offer on the table, take it and run.  Bottom line was that after their history with Pacman, they needed to cut their losses and move on without him.  Anything they got in trade was better than the nothing they would have got for cutting him.  I think they did the right thing under the circumstances.  Even if you believe he can come back and be a great player, I think it still had to be done... there were just too many bridges burned in Tennessee for him to come back.

We also get the Cowboy's fifth next year if he plays some, or thier fourth if he plays alot. We've gotta give them our fourth if he doesn't play though.

And I've heard to local radio guys talk about Chris Johnson and they said that he fits perfectly with the type of stuff that Mike Heimerdinger likes to do. We'll probably see him splitting out wide, running post routes and stuff like that to take advantage of his world-class speed.

Once he adjusts to the NFL level of competition, I think he can be a similar player to Brian Wesbrook, I can only hope that he'll be as good.

I have watched Chris Johnson his whole carreer at ECU and he is a player.  He was a Wide Reciever his first 2 years, and was coverted to RB his last 2.  He also returned kick offs and punts for us....ECU tried everything to get the ball in his hands, because he can use his speed to take it the distance for a TD every time he touches the ball.  Also, he is deceptively strong....he doesn't just run around people, he can run through people as well.....I wish the Panthers had drafted him instead of Tennessee....

Don't be upset that you didn't draft CJ....you guys did get J Stewart, and being a Duck, I got to watch him for the past 3 years, and he will be a great NFL back.  He is punishing - think Earl Campbell - and I love his stiff-arm, he dropped many a DB with his strength.

Yep. They needed a receiver tho, even as a development project. Young can scramble but with nowhere tho throw to he'll lose more than he gains. I think this season might be do or die for Fisher, an average year, maybe blamed on injuries would prolong this, but then I don't see anyone out there better either, so they'd better make the playoffs.

I think this is great pic...I listened to Fisher on the local sports show and he said that while Jones is a natural runner....a football player with track speed...(Not a trackstar turned football player)...they plan on using Jones as a hy-brid.... rb/slot/wr/punt returner....

Jones will really open up the field for Young and the other receivers....Jones is a type of player that is a threat everytime he touches the ball.

Regarding the receivers: Himendinger said that in his opinion the receiving corps is much better than the public and media think....that it was more of a scheming issue...which is why they didn't go for a receiver first round....and really first round receivers that make an impact the first year...are few and far between....always a few...but there were none this year....

It cracks me up how much fans get disgruntled about the draft...when I would say less than 3% actually study the players like an NFL scout is paid to do....

I liked the Titans picks...

and I would like to see Prisco grade the draft from 3 4 years ago...that is a true test of a draft....not the day after...

The 2008 draft was a great one.  The Kansas City Chiefs made out will a lot of luck from trading up a lot.  The Detroit Lions stunk it up again.  The New England Patriots are always picking great picks.  What this year showed me is how setup the league really is , they have no balls on telling a team NO you can't trade up in the draft you get what you get!!!

How did the Lions stink it up? They finally had a meaningful draft and addressed real needs. Cherilus was ranked 17-23 on every mock I saw, and Dizon is the prototypical LB for Marinelli's version of the "Tampa 2". All the picks have some relevance. Kevin Smith is a good RB and would have gone earlier if there weren't so many good backs to choose from and the "need" for RB isn't as desperate as some have been saying. As a Lions fan, I am not jumping for joy over the draft, but I like the direction they took. "Stinking it up" is ahuge misfire in my opinion in describing the Lion's draft.
