I like it Komacki, one thing though. If Wilson is as good as we think and hope he is, there is no way he stays beyond 2 years. If he stays 3 year sto me that means he is not quite as good as we had hoped, he may even be a one and doner (the first under Bo, we'll see), frankly I hope he is from the standpoint that it means he had a spectacular freshman year and possibly lead us to where we haven;t been in 60+ years if you know what i mean

He's the missing piece on that team in that year in my opinion.  If he does come to Wisconsin then it's Final Four or bust in 2009-10 for me.

I think he'll stay two years most likely.  I had a reason for him staying three, but I don't remember what it is now.

@ kaara:  Bernini over on RP summed up my thoughts on Wilson pretty well.
From what I've seen and read about Wilson, he doesn't seem like a one and done guy. Maybe 2 or 3 and done. The players who've declared after one year have typically been the, stat-stuffing, me first players. Jamil plays very unselfish. Also, he needs to develop his perimeter skills more for the NBA. He won't get drafted in the lottery after his freshman year as a 6'7"-6'8" small forward/power forward.

The best thing for Jamil would be to go to a school where he could play right away and start for 3 years (errr...Wisconsin). All the while he could develop his outside shot, ala Marcus Landry or Michael Flowers (who play(ed) for Wisconsin). Also, as a sophomore and junior learn how to be the go to guy on a team in the tournament (like Wisconsin). Declare for the NBA Draft as a mature player. And then go back during a couple summers and get his degree from a great academic school (like Wisconsin).

Also ...

2010-11
Freshman: Vander Blue

I look pretty smart right now.  : )

I agree on the reasons he would stay two years but I think if he improves his outside game, and leads the team on deep tourney runs, that keeping him for three is unlikely, but to me that is a good thing in a way.

Just because there's no one around these days, I may as well stroke my own ego.

2010-11
Freshman: Vander Blue, Evan Anderson

I look REALLY smart right now.

Well, the recruiting news looks like it'll be pretty slow until the 2011 class starts heating up.  I might make another thread for that one.  The real question is if anyone will read it.
