Who will start next game? price or halak?
IMO Halak will get the start since carbo goes with the hotter player and halak did not let in any goals in the game where he replaced price. I think price is physically and mentally tired after the boston series where in certain ways he saved the habs.

The habs ARE winning the next game though, its just the truth. With the shot comparisons, the habs should have won at least won of these past two games, but birons on fire and price is tired so maybe halak will start the next game and after that it depends if we win (which we will IMO)

Go Habs Go!

Does`nt really matter who`s in goal, all that matters is that a Bruins fan is rooting for the Flyers to beat the Canadians, that would not happen if it was any other team besides the Habs!!!!  Go figure thats how much we all hate the Canadians good luck!!! Go Flyers!!!

The shot differential is due to all the penalties being called against the Flyers and NONE against the Habs...thanks for pointing that out!

Also Einstein, the Flyers SHOULD HAVE one game one if it weren't for a LAME kneeing call on a CLEAN hit. It SHOULD BE 3-0 Flyers ...

Woulda, shoulda, coulda...

First of all, if you want to call someone Einstein and be sarcastic about it, try using proper grammar afterwards. "Also Einstein, the Flyers SHOULD HAVE one game one if it" Very nice.

Second, if you had watched any of the games from the whole Boston series, you would have seen how terrible the refs have been throughout the entire playoffs on our behalf.

Third, where the hell do you get off telling anyone that the Flyers play a clean game? Steve Downie deserves to be shot where he stands for all the crap he has disturbed since joining the NHL. He is an embarrassment to the Flyers organization, the NHL, and any great fan of hockey. This guy does not deserve to be on the ice with real hockey players, he should be in an octagon for UFC, or something along those lines.

Last, how can you say the Flyers should have won game one over a bad call, when in game three as the Canadiens were making their final push for the comeback, the referee steps in and makes an unnecessary call to kill any momentum that they had going?

Know what you're talking about before you talk smack about the Canadiens, hockey's real fans. Americans in general don't know jack about hockey, you should just be happy you get to see a real team play when the Canadiens come to visit.

When the Flyers win the series you's shouldn't have any excuses then.  You said don't cry about the refs, so we'll see if you's stick to that.  Or if your all just hypocrites...

TravisHABS,

I wrote that sentence as a joke to the original post where the person wrote:

"With the shot comparisons, the habs should have won at least won of these past two games"

I did not say anything about the Boston series, because I have no right to. I didn't watch ONE game in that series so I cannot comment on it. All I know is that in the 10 games the Flyers have played, the officiating has been AWFUL. During the Caps/Flyers series, the bad officiating went both ways but in my humble opinion, the Caps got more calls due to Ovechkin's "flops" and him being a star player. In this series with Montreal, it's gotten even worse!

I never said the Flyers play a clean game all the time (no team does). What I have a problem with is the sucker-punch from Kostopoulos on Timonen that doesn't get called. I'm not saying Hatcher should not have received a boarding call the other night, however, Boullion jumped right to his skates and retaliated and gets no call. And, if Boullion was not injured (he jumped right up), how does that justify a 5 minute major? If you know anything about hockey, it better be a really bad injury to get 5 minutes and a game misconduct!!

I don't make the roster moves for the Flyers, but obviously Steve Downie is talented enough to play in the NHL or he wouldn't be on their team.

What was the unnecessary call in Game 3? Enlighten me...the Canadiens got ANOTHER power play after the 5 minute major expired!

Montreal does have great fans -- just as we do. We are some of the best hockey fans in the country -- you cannot argue that!

Stop stero-typing with the "Americans don't know jack about hockey". Some Americans don't care about hockey, but the ones who do are very informed.

My dad's family is originally from Boston. He started playing ice hockey when he was 8 years old and had me and my brother playing since we were 5 years old! I'm 39 years old now and have been watching hockey/playing hockey for 34 years! Don't tell me I don't know "jack" about hockey!

I guess Jeremy Roenick doesn't know "jack" about hockey because he is American? Same goes for Mike Modano, Mike Richter, Pat Lafontaine, etc??

cant bench him he got you there he will never recover if you pull him now

He did not get us anywhere, Kovalev and the brothers did. Beating Boston is not getting anywhere in my book. He has played as many lousy games as stellar games. We only need a goaltender who can play a good game and stop what should be stopped.  He is being totally outplayed by an average goaltender.

He is being outplayed by an "average" goaltender?  I would say that Biron is playing much better than average.  Benching Price was a desparation move and it backfired.  You don't do things like that when it's a 2-1 series. Your entire coaching staff should be fired for such a panic move,

for example?

haha what crap? i love people that rip headlines and run with em forever. so the kid made a way too aggresive play, i wont even say he left his skates, he damn near dove at McAmmond but thats it. what else do you got? nothing...he not afraid to talk and hes not afraid to drop em to back it up. and hes a better hockey player than everyone outside of Philadelphia gives him credit for, hes not a goon.

Americans in general don't know jack about hockey, you should just be happy you get to see a real team play when the Canadiens come to visit.well i do know that being up 3 games to 1 is better than being down 3 to 1...jus curious but when is this real team supposed to get here? did you send your B team by accident cause these guys cant seem to get their sticks on the puck

HABS have led a charmed life in this year's playoffs and it's about to end... Their roster is full of chicken**it Russians like Kovalev who are nothing but floaters. They had their hands full with a lowly Boston Team filling in injured Stars like Bergeron and Savard with 19-year old rookies and were lucky to win THAT series --hell, the refs handed them Game Two when they had a powerplay for the last half of the 3rd period and ALL the Overtime! So stop crying about the refereeing. The Nordiques were a much more exciting team culminating in ousting the Dead Habs in the '85 playoffs when stars like Peter Stastny Michel Goulet would burn the Canadiens in 7 games--3 in Overtime! You have gone back in history to describe the performance of Carey Price, Montreal's rookie goaltender... But maybe you should be comparing him to Steve Penney, a one-year wonder. Alas, it appears that Price won't even be THAT good...at least Penney led his team to a Stanley Cup before being traded to Winnipeg and fading into obscurity. If you still think that your Dead Habs are being foiled by *bad calls* you might do well to go find Mr. Penney. He may be able to help you see more clearly...you see, Steve Penney is in the Eye glass business in Montreal.

Downie has played some dirty games.  You cannot tell me that he is a disgrace to the organization either.  He is a rookie.  A rookie that plays with heart and emotion.  You can't tell me that a great hockey fan wouldn't enjoy to watch an emotional hockey player.  That is rediculous, and so are you.  Have fun trying to win 3 out of the last 3 games of your season :).
