1. Everyone is returning at full health. I really doubt we can have another injury-riddled year like in 07, where virtually every position took a hit.

2. The draft. Not only did we score a home run pick in Chris Long, we have added depth to the O-line. Donnie Avery will contribute as a receiver and a returner. Justin King has all the potential in the word and Keenan Burton is a steal.

3. The front office is cleaning house on all players who have off the field issues or character issues i.e. cutting Byrd or not drafting players because of issues then taking chances/gambles.

4. Our 3 major FA signings: Jacob Bell, Josh Brown, and Anothony Becht. Bell will provide immediate help to Bulger, Becht will be utilized as a blocking TE (to those who are complaining about signing another TE), and Brown will be the accurate, perhaps more accurate, kicker he was in Seattle. David Macklin and Reche Caldwell will help in their respective roles as well.

Our schedule is tough, but its def. not the toughest. It's not going to be easy, but I believe this is a team that is going to be re-born. I'm not saying we go 14-2 or anything crazy like that, but 9-7 or 10-6 is a very good possibility.

I like your views on the Rams for 08.  I belive the first 7 games are going to put us to the test.  The last 9 games are all winnable as long as we stay healthy.

If Orlando Pace stays healthy and we protect Marc Bulger I think the Offense gets back to form.  I for one will miss Issac Bruce and his clutch catches but someone else will need to step up.  The running game should be very good this year as well.  Steven Jackson should have a big year and the development of Antonio Pittman could have us controlling the clock and game.

On the other side of the ball our Defense should do well with the new look D-Line ( Long, Carriker, Glover or Ryan, and Little ) to put presure on the QB or stoping the run.  If they can give our LB's time to make plays I see big things happening. With that pressure should give our DB's a chance to make plays on the ball as well.

As for the coaching staff.  I love Haslett as D-cord and Saunders O-cord Lets just hope Linehan lets them do thier jobs.

I see the Rams 8-8 or 9-7 this year which would be a big improvement.

The Rams will have a great season and they'll get to atleast .400 this year. the O-Line was horrible last year because we moved Barron to LT and we had noone to fill his spot at RT and it pretty much went on from there. Now we will be a LOT more healthy than last season and i beleive that Donnie Avery is going to be good. Chris Long should be good at RE and we'd have a good D-Line in RE Chris Long DT La'Roi Glover LE Leonard Little. Now i think we need more backup for Bulger because Trent Green can't be trusted as QB considering he's injured all the time. That's all I think we need to have a .500 season, but I know we have improved a ton since last year. Well, sometimes the worst team in the NFL is the Super Bowl winner the next year. I just hope that's us this season. Atleast the playoffs, but I have medium hopes this year. I expect a .400 season at the least.

I think that we are looking at a 10-6 season and a subsequent NFC West Championship.  We made some good offseason moves, such as strengthening our weak spots instead of blowing a bunch of money on good players who don't fit our needs.  The 49ers will finish 7-9 or 8-8, the Cardinals will be 8-8, and the Seahawks will be around 8-8 or 9-7 also.

Another reason i think we have a good chance at doing good this season is that Scott Linehan is having our Rams do a rigorous conditioning program with new work outs and stretches that focus on specific  body parts for specific positions. So we should see a whole lot less injuries. A healthy team is a winning team

I'm like u Rammer, we ill be 10-6 but I feel this team has the potential to be at least 11-5 at the best with one of the leagues toughest schedules. There is a good mixture of young and old talent on this team. If we can get some of the younger guys on this team to make a quantum leap and play at a high level and also reach their potential, other teams better watch out. We won't be the greatest team on turf anymore but we will most defenitely be one of the higher scoring teams in the league if everyone can stay healthy. I love our team's defense but I still feel we can be more physical and intimidate teams. Can't wait til the season starts. I think we will sign at least 2 more players after the June 1st cuts who will start or play key roles on the team.

MY FIVE REASONS

1. The NFC West Sucks.

2. Steven Jackson is let alone the best player in the WEST when he is heathly. WE also have a heathly Pace and a heathly Holt.

3. We will atleast start the season with no injuried offensive linemen but then again scott fuijita or what ever his name is got injuried going down a water slide. I'm sure something like that could happen with the Rams luck.

4. We have another POTENTIAL great defensive end to play on the other side helping an aged Little. i really hope Little has a wine effect and gets better with age.

5.We brought a few decent coners i think Justin King could be a starter or macklin could be better than bartel and brown.

We also brought in a good offensive cordinater

FIVE REASONS WHY I DOUBT IT.

1. Scott Linehan is still are coach.

2. we have aged all-stars such as Pace, Little, and Holt.

3. Cory Chavous is still a projected starter we have know outside linebackers. pisa is always getting hurt.

4. did i mention scott linehan is still our coach.

5. We had a horrible horrible terrible draft. Chris Long was a great pick. but can you imagine what all the other teams were thinking when they herd " the number two in the 2nd round is Lonnie Avery from Houston." the 1st reciever tooken. then John Greco all while dan cornor was still on the board Charles Godfrey, Tavares Gooden,

i for one kinda like our draft. i think dan conner was very over rated, yea he counld tackle, but he was over agressive and had no cover skills, he wouldnt have worked in our system. John Greco is a huge favorite of the coaches and they see alot in him. Donnie Avery also was a guy whom the coaches thought would fit well in the system, maybe not the highest rated, but still the right pick

Lay off Linehan, you would be in the hot heat if you went through that season of hell. Remember, Linehan lead the team to 8-8 record, which was only 2 last second field goals from a 10-6 record, a division title, and a playoff appearence in his FIRST season in 2006. Hell, we still had a playoff shot all the way to the last game of the season.

And yes, Orlando Pace missed the last half of the season but we still performed well since we didn't have any other major injuries.

New coaches generally don't do that well in their first seasons, and Linehan improved from a 6-10 record in 2005 to 8-8 in 2006.

that is true but linehan is even making the players mad. when have you ever seen Torry Holt even get a frown talking to a coach until this year. when you start losing trust of the teams leader and prolly the best player in the locker room. every one will start to follow and that 8-8 season should have ben mayb even 12 4 but he made bad decisions at badtimes our o-cord saved that sason

Good, positive points here about the offense, and especially about shedding bad-attitude players.

But the D is so thin everything must go right.

A lost step or injury with 34-year-old Little shoves a knee-buckling slice of pass rush pie at rookie Long.

An injury to Long or Witherspoon? Let's not stare into that abyss.

Who is Pace's backup?
