Don't know what happen 2 the other 2 threads. So let start a new with what should be a great match up in round two. Are the old playoff vets going 2 show the new kids how mental tough you need 2 be come playoff time 2 win series; or are the new kids just 2 young 2 know any better and run the old dogsin 2 the ground?

I feel this will be great CP3 going head 2 head with Tony both are verry quick and can score and pass even if tony does not gaurd CP3. Is D. West ready to take on Tim D. will he be able to keep if off the boards and out of the paint. I lov 2 see the "O" for "D" of Stojakovic & Bowen even if they don't gaurd each other. Then Manu coming off the pine can Wells match what he does?

My pick Spurs in 5 (they always take a game off) could go 6 because the Hornets could pull out 1 more.

I believe Pop will put Bowen on Paul. Hornets use a lot of screens to free him up, and while Bowen isn't as quick as he used to be, he is our best guy when it comes to avoiding picks. That would free Tony Parker of hard defensive task and since Mo Pete doesn't have post play I see TP on him while Finley would go after Peja Stojakovic.

It will be interesting to see whether Hornets bigs can stay out of foul trouble. Mavericks didn't have inside play so Tyson Chandler and David West stayed on the court. Hornets don't have backup front line that can play big minutes.

Spurs will have to position themselves almost perfectly to avoid being crushed by Hornets athleticism. Chandler and Wright are way more athletic than any out player. Hopefully, they won't be able to use it too much.

I hope I'm wrong, but a Spurs win would be a surprise for me. If both teams play their best, and with home court in NO, I think Hornets will advance.

The NBA playoffs are almost if not always about progression learning how 2 take it to the next level. The Hornets are a good team but 2 go deep in 2 the playoffs you need a mental toughness. I just don’t think the Mavs were a test at all for them they are a soft team (Mavs). The Spurs are one if not the most mental toughest teams there is. That is why I think the Spurs will move on 2 the WCF. I think that this series will be beneficial to the young players on the Hornets team in the long run. I've seen teams with young player before make it deep but their leader has been threw the ropes before. Not knocking CP3 but he’s still new to the intensity of the playoffs he did come up big against the Mavs. I feel he’ll have some good games but the spurs "D" is was better and their game is one of the best come playoffs.  A big difference in this series may be the coaches. Pops is head and shoulders above Scott that might just be the difference why it all said and done. I just can’t wait. Here’s 2 a great series and some good old fashion basket ball.

GO SPURS

I love my Hornets like a fat boy loves bacon, but we don't have the hosses to deal with Tim Duncan, Manu and Tony Parker of the Spurs. I fear the Spurs are going to take the broom to us.

Alright game time baby!
Should prove to be an exceptional series, two of the best PG's in the league going head to head, the greatest PF in the game going against a rising star, solid coaches and role players. Should be great, GO
