Isn’t this what you are essentially saying about the playoff game? Dallas lost because of a legit penalty that cost you the game. That sounds like an excuse.

Funny, this is the exact opposite of the playoff game. Dallas “outplayed” the Giants with more yards and first downs, yet they lost the game. So by this reasoning above, Dallas was not the better team.

By this definition, the only losses that count against Dallas are when they are completely dominated? There are games every week in the NFL that are decided by one play or situation which changes the momentum of the game or decides the outcome. That neither team was able to dominate the other. That doesn’t mean the team who won doesn’t deserve the victory.

The last game of the season where the Giants lost to the Patriots was a game dominated by the Giants for most of 3 periods, and then the momentum changed and the Patriots scored several times to win the game. Do they not deserve the victory because the Giants were not totally dominated?

I understand it is a bitter pill to swallow that the Cowboys were not victorious. When the Giants lost to San Fran in the playoffs several years ago after dominating for over a half and then letting the 49ers get back into the game, and then to be denied a penalty (a flagrant one) for holding during the last second FG attempt to tie the game, I was upset. But put it in perspective. I have come to terms with this loss. The Giants should never have been in a position to lose because of a non-call at the waning moments of the game. They were not good enough or deserving enough to have won. If the Cowboys had been good enough, they would have won the game and a stupid penalty wouldn’t or shouldn’t have affected the outcome.

Finally, our offense was not dominating in the second half. It was our defense which kept us in the game against a very good high powered high scoring offense. I’ll give credit to the Cowboys that they played the Giants tough on defense, better than both regular season games. The Giants also played tough. Offensively, the Giants were very predictable, especially the last few series. But teams cannot always win by offense. Sometimes it’s defense that wins it and in the rare instance, special teams. A win is a win. Let the game go. When Dallas is good enough, it won’t matter about a stupid penalty, they will win the game anyway. That’s what Champions do.

Finally someone worth talking to,.......I see the rest of cavedwellers are still doing nothing short of talking to each other,............I stopped talking to the inbreeders a while back.

Back to what we are talking about.  If you recall I have never said the Reeves penalty was bogus,  I said it's what helped give NY the edge.  I said it was a case of Dallas beating themselves.  They were doing it all the time with penalties before this season started.

You are the one calling penalties "Phantom holds",.....I merely offered up that Dallas still had more of them (penalties) and fewer first downs yet they were strong enough to pull out the win.

And this is not a hard pill to swallow,...being in,.....winning and or losing post season or Suprebowl games is no strange place for us as fans because whether we win or lose the people that seem to be making the biggest noise about it one way or the other is other fans (like You).

You all are the ones who can't stop jumping up and down about beating the Cowboys, and you're the ones who can't stop talking about the Superbowl.  Lets face it,.....it's because they come a lot fewer and far between for you than they do for Dallas.

Of course we wanted them to win, because this group hasn't won yet and we want to see them win something.  But I believe we're the only team in the NFC East who can say that with the exception of the group in the 80's,........every new group goes on to win at least one Superbowl during the time they play.

At any rate I know the Giants can't say it and I know the Eagles really can't say it.  For the Cowboys if you noticed this is actually the first in three years that the defense has not had to step up to keep or win the game.   Previously the offense would slide off in the second half and it would come down to the defense.

This is the first in three seasons, the penalties went down and the scoring went up.  Now we didn't know Barber would be what he is, but we can say that with one primary reciever we went 13-3, and by that mark we can say if we have two and a better HB than JJ this season with Felix Jones that a repeat or at least 12-4 is not a stretch.

We went 13-3 with an ailing and shakey secondary, one HB, one QB who did better than even I thought he would, an O-line that is not to be taken lightly, and one primary reciever that was supposed to destroy the team but so far hasn't owned up to this monster people made him out to be,.............except for when he did things like torched the Skins secondary four damn times for four TD's.

I haven't seen any other team fans yet who will go on another board like I will even after their team lost and defend them with facts to the degree I do.  The Eagles fans talked a lot of trash during the three seasons they were up.  But after last season, you don't see too many of them runnin' over to the Cowboys board lately to talk and trash after they boasted about how this was going to be another 04' season. LoL

That was the most ridiculous thing I had ever heard.  I would never predict that Dallas is going to the Superbowl when the season hasn't even started yet,.......that's things your people do based on what they did the previous season.

They bragged on the Packers board too,.............and had to regret what they said.  I'm just sayin' you have to know where your team has been year in and year out before you can go assuming they're going to go back to back in the Superbowl or even that they're going to get there again.
