Fire them both without hesitation. Knight has built the most mismatched teams in history. Ignored the point guard position for years and has no center. Just kept drafting those 6'8" guys and told them to grab a man. Great strategy.

As far as coach Woodson, let's not let three strange and unbeleivable wins distract us from the minimal progress being made. We improved 5 wins (i think ) from last year and that was with adding Horford and getting Bibby for the last 1/4 of the season. Plus the injuries were minor this year compared to last. I think this "we made the playoffs therefore we are making progress" crap is BS. They made the playoffs 8 games under 500. That reeks. I can remember when making the playoffs at .500 was considered weak.

The Hawks need some real leadership and someone who can recognize talent. Our drafting has been way to hit or miss and will continue. Oh wait, no draft picks this year so no chance of messing that up. Maybe they can make another major FA signing in the lines of another Speed Claxton.

I'm really proud of our fan base that the majority has overlooked the three wins vs. the Celtics and mostly agree that Woodson needs to go. With big names out there such as D' antoni and Avery Johnson this would be the wrong time to keep him. Management needs to realize that if we can get Dantoni or Avery that we need to Drop woodson b/c guys like that just don't become available every year and especially two! Either would be a major improvement and we would be an attractive place to coach after our playoff run.

I'm not sure why people are high on Avery Johnson as a HC. He was handed a great team. On a platter. Sure the following year he made the finals and won 67 games but that was not a team he built. Look at what Dallas has been like following that year. Decline and declining some more. And that team remained largely unchanged until late this year when they made an awful trade for Kidd. Maybe it's just me but, Johnson is overrated. He's a yeller and I believe that constant yelling at players when they made mistakes wore on Mav players and thus resulting in their decline. You bring in that type of "motivation" and you'll have a very unhappy Hawks team.

If you want a coach who treats his players like a man and can motivate the team and run a system that fits the Hawks personnel then you need only look to Don Nelson. His days are numbered in Golden State after benching B.Davis that 2nd to last game of the season for the entire 2nd half and thus being eliminated from playoff contention. Not that they would made playoffs anyway. And with BD not resigning yet- which could be due to Nelson still there- it appears one of them has to go and it wont be the superstar PG.

I say we get Nelson, see if you can make a play for Diop from NJ-atheletic big- and let Nelson run this team the way it was meant. I feel like I should apply for GM for the Hawks. I'll work at half the salary and do twice as good a job as that bozo Knight.
