Just because replay isn't perfect doesn't mean its not a huge step forward.  Even in the NBA the fact the can review last second shots has changed the outcome of numerous games which would have been won or lost on a bad call.

And like you said, you don't want the game to last 5 hours so why do you want to give the referees the right to use replay as for any type of call.  If you start giving them the right to replay calls that are as subjective as holding penalties whenever they like its going to get out of hand.

Personally I like the way the NFL does it.  Most teams don't even use their two challenges half the time, and when they do, they lose most of the time anyway.  And when the game really matters at the end of each half, they can review any play they want.

Basically you are saying that you don't like getting some game changing plays right because you can't get every game changing play right, which is ridiculous.  Although I do agree with you that Orlando is HORRIBLY outmatched in this series.  Howard reminds me so much of a young Shaq (never mind that he plays for Orlando) except when he plays the Pistons.  He looks absolutely average every time he has to go against a team with as many big physical bodies as Detroit has.  Detroit Boston is going to be a hell of a series.
