	Why was Cuban so gung-ho on Carlisle? To not even entertain other candidates is obsurd. You woulda thought that Phil Jackson was unemployed and fishing by the way they went after a head coach. For a coach that has no personality, I'm shocked that Cuban fell in love w/ this guy. But hey, if he can get the team to buy into his system (which isn't for a Jason Kidd by the way...maybe that says something...bye bye Kidd??) we all know what Dallas is capable of. W/ another off-season under the belt of Brandon Bass, Josh Howard if he can keep the chronic to a minimum and a off-season, camp and pre-season w/ Kidd and Dirk getting in tune w/ one another, Dallas will back in the top 4 in the west!! I would've liked to see D'Antoni get a look from Cuban, but Dirk has the one true voice on this teams moves...he wanted defense, he got defense... As well as a walk it up the down coach. Don't think he'll like that much.

	He just said his new coach has won playoff games and why would the owner hire someone who has won playoff games with out looking at the loser who haven't won anything. Oh and the new coach knows D-Fence....

	Hiring Carlisle means the roster has to be changed doesn't it? How many guys played defense for Johnson? I thought he was supposed to be a defensive coach. I think in time Johnson will be a good playoff coach. Unfortunately his first head coaching job was with a very high profile team.

	Carlisle has a good resume, but I don't think he's the guy for Dallas. Isn't he supposedly a strict (Avery-strict) type of coach who emphasizes defense? Nowitzki gets his wish, but I'm not sure how Kidd is gonna take it. Avery's strictness didn't exactly work out well for him...

	carlisle is too similar to Avery for my liking as well. I don't see how this is going to help out Dallas' woes. Then again, with gaping holes at PG/C/ any perimeter consistent shooting there isn't really a coach out there who could. Except maybe D'Antoni. I'd have loved to see him come to Dallas, but I understand why Cubes didn't want to go back to the Nellieball ways of the late 90s/early 00s. Fun to watch, but not going to win them anything. However, I'd have rather seen them at least make a coaching search than just latch onto one guy who probably wasn't going anywhere anyway. There has to be someone out there who is at least somewhat versed in both offense and defense. Another Avery uninspired offense is exactly what we don't need, and that's what I'm afraid we just got.

	To be fair Rick Carlisle had the Pistons on the verge of a Championship when they let him go in the Larry Brown fiasco. At Indiana he was victimized by Larry Bird's inept operation. Bird traded good young players for duds and thugs and Rick got the blame. I don't know if Rick has a personality or if he prefers to be low key, but I'd take him over the loser the Pacers have now. As far as Phil Jackson goes, he's never elevated a team to the Championship. Phil has always managed to walk into championships waiting to happen. Look at the talent that was on those teams before he showed up. Looking at what Dallas has had up to now, I'd think Rick would be a little more welcome than a fox in your henhouse. I'm not saying Rick Carlisle is going to turn Dallas into Champions, but as hard a worker as he is, he just might sneak in a championship.

	He got fired from the Pistons for not getting along with the owner haha good luck trying to get along with cuban with a team on a downslide this job was a bad one for anyone.
