I have some uncertainy about the position.  To be honsest, I'm not to sure if we have our future running back star on our roster.   Obviously Shanahan thinks alot differently, I just can't see who he thinks will carry the load.  I mean  the guys we were really "high on"  like Rashard Mendenhall, Jonathan Stewart, and Matt Forte we all passed and were left to ponder the idea of who our back will be.  Ryan Torain is unheard of and you can't tell me that he is going to run for 1,000+ in his rookie year not to mention the fact he has injury problems.  Andre Hall was a preety solid back for us but he has major durability issues and seems to get injured every game.  Travis Henry is the most injury prone of them all, and has some serious off the field probelms from pot to babies.  Mike Bell is as good as gone, was way too slow.  Cecil Sapp has converted to Fullback.  Peyton Hillis is to slow to play halfback and that leaves me to Selvin Young.  Despite his durability concers hes a threat and I believe Shannahan want's him to carry the load, despite his comments months back.  Either that or I think he wasnt sold on Any   backs coming out last year and is using the "undrafted method" until he can find a back that he absolutly loves.  Whatever is going on in that mans head..only god knows lol.

BTW:  Starting to think we made the right descion with Ryan Clady.  But should have either taken Matt Forte or DeSean Jackson with pick 2.

When you've had so much success with undrafted running backs, created a revolutionary zone blocking scheme, and won 2 superbowls with a 6th round running back, I think we can safely assume that Mike Shanahan knows what he's doing.

There is no reason to have a featured back unless that back is clearly better than anyone else on the roster at that psoition. I have no problem seeing a 2-3 back rotation keeping everyone relatively fresh. Our runnning game starts with the OL and the blocking scheme so who runs the ball really isn't a factor at all as long as they are effective. If the Broncos decide to keep Henry and continue to love Torain then we very well might see a 3 back rotation including Selvin Young  with each back amassing around 500-700 yards each. That would be more than sufficient.

its not like henry cant be our star back, he was leading the league last year under our average injured O-line. Henry got rid of his off field problems. and who said we need a star runningback. whats wrong with two good RB with Power in Henry and Speed in Young and even put in Torain in some times. I dont think Rb is a big concern because we have many versatile Rb's which could really help us out

Ryan Torain will be the man.

Henry got rid of his off field problems. What did he do? Hire a hitman to kill all 9 of his kids? Get castrated?

Obviously, I'm just joking but to say Henry got rid of his off field problems is not something I'm counting on.

Besides that, I think Denver is fine at RB for the time being. Running for the Broncos all starts up front with a healthy Nalen, Hamilton, Clady at LT, and (I think) Harris at RT the running game will be fine.

Fine at RB position?? You have to be joking!! Should I call ya the Joker? Crispy is right on 1 thing, the Donks have a good O-line w/ the addition of Clady. As far as RB's you have wonderful back-ups but thats it!

If only the Broncos could have any of our 3 RB's (Not including Jordan) they would be much happier. Maybe even happier with Jordan. I can expect to hear some naysayers (Naysayers, get it?) against Justin Fargas, but I understand that. I wouldn't be comfortable liking a runningback who all but closed the door on a Raiders victory over the Broncos.

We will be just fine at RB this year since we finally have a healthy O-line and RB's. Definately a top 10 maybe even top 5 rushing team in the whole league.
