well thanx for proving my point that Tom Brady is the most overrated qb in the league and is really nothing but an average system qb on a good team. so there were two special team touchdowns i'm guessing brown had one of them, who appearently every patriot fan claims was an average player on the Patriots.
so wait let me get this..... tom brady plays average with average players, and the players around him make him look better, unlike favre and manning who both make the players around them better, and a patriot fan admits that it wasn't all tom brady that won the afc championship game, wow this is a first.
go ahead pat fans zero me now

So your going to throw 1 game out there from 8 years of games to try and persuade everyone the Patriots aren't "really" cheaters. Nope not gonna happen ... the only people will agree with you are your own fans.
Pretty much everyone else is disgusted that the Patriots franchise has screwed everyone out of the true outcomes of games from the sport we all love for the past decade.
If the Eagles pulled that BS I wouldn't be a fan anymore of them.

FavrelsaGod... Brady got injured in that game... which proves your stupidity to the next level
and bigboy... this is the one game that everyone is pointing at, so I decided to start a thread about it, and if you think that the Patriots are the only team to have cheated... something is desperately wrong with you, but these statements have nothing to do with my original question.

Favre, thank you for proving that you have no credibility in the argument about Brady because if you had actually watched him and the team play, you would have noticed that he got injured in the beginning of the 2nd quarter and Bledsoe came in and played the game. Even if he didn't, it was Brady's first season starting. Go look at his numbers before this season and you'll notice his numbers compare with the greats of all time. At least he doesn't throw 30 int. in a season with sub par talent around him. Please lets not start arguments about it as this is pointless. There is no way in hell that anyone can say that Brady is overrated, just do a little research and watch him play.

unlike favre and manning who both make the players around them better,
Favre didn't make anyone better during the Giants game. Or a couple years ago when he threw 20 picks (or the four other seasons he threw more than 20). And if I remember correctly, he's only a Super Bowl champion because Desmond Howard had one of the best Super Bowls ever for a special teams guy.
Manning didn't make anyone look good his rookie year when he threw 28 interceptions (Brady threw 12 his first year as a starter, but a bit of that is due to fewer attempts). Manning also completed about 6% less of his passes than Brady and only threw 3 more touchdowns (despite throwing over 160 more passes). Brady even averaged more yards per attempt (6.5 for Manning to 6.9).
appearently every patriot fan claims was an average player on the Patriots.
Apparently (note the spelling), you don't know too many Patriots fans. Any REAL fan of the Patriots smiles when they see Troy Brown, and they will patiently wait for him to enter the Patriots Hall of Fame upon his retiring.
I think the "average player" claim you might refer to is people saying Tom Brady has average receivers. While Troy Brown did bring much to the Patriots, that's because he was a return man, a cornerback, a back up quarterback, and I believe a second string punter...as well as a very good slot receiver. He did a lot for the team over the years.
However, from a receiver perspective, he doesn't match up well against other guys. He's not incredibly big. He's not incredibly fast. He can't bully defenders around. He just goes out and makes catches using good hands and good instincts - which, unfortunately, can only get you so far when compared to guys like Randy Moss and Terrell Owens.

Clovdyx, I don't know about you, but I dont mind people who want to argue between Manning and Brady because that's a legitimate comparison. Im fairly new to these boards and I feel like all people who post against Pats just want to jump all over them before they actually do any research on what they're talking about, and likewise, there have been plenty of Pats fans who retaliate with even more idiotic statements. However, was I just being absolutely naive to assume that people would accept Brady as a top 2 QB in the league who will most likely be top 10 all time when his career is finished?

Why bother...you proved your ignorance by stating that they won without Tom Brady....he didn't even make it to halftime you dolt. If you had done your homework before spewing off at the mouth you would have known that DREW BLEDSOE won that game and threw the only TD pass and offensive TD that day to David Patten......
Thank you
A Patriots Fan
