Read today that VS wants to bring back puck tracker from the FOX days, but without the computer chip in the puck.  I didn't like puck tracker when it was on FOX, really distracting.  Thoughts?

Second, does this mean the NHL and VS have a long term relationship?  I hope not, can't stand watching on VS.   Not sure what network they get some assist from, but the camera angle was the worst the other night.  Hey CBS how about stepping up, NHL needs a new network.

Puck trakcer is terrible. It just leaves this annoying blue streak across the screen.

Unfortunately, it doesn't look like the NHL is moving back to mainstream TV any time soon. I think this will become a very serious problem for the league.

Yeah, I hated the puck tracker too. They really just need some alternate camera angles in the game. Look at football, there are cameras literally everywhere giving different views and angles during play.

The only type of puck tracker I could understand is one that keeps the puck centered on the screen at all times...thus eliminating the camera man, who cannot keep up with the pucks movements anyways.

You are so right!  The NHL needs to have more camera angles.  Football has the overhead "Madden" shot,  NASCAR has camera's everywhere, NHL has what four?( if they have the goalie cam working.)  MLB has more than that.  The NHL hs laged behind in that.  They all need to be in HD as well.  The game looks so much better in HD, okay everything does, but it makes a big difference in hockey.  And what's wrong with a camera that just follows the puck, I like that.  The rest of the new angle cameras can have camera people.  Send it to the Comish!!  No blue streaking, or yellow or red glowing, pucks, just follow the puck!

The Madden cam would work well in hockey and it'd be a lot easier to set up than in football. It would be really neat during a power-play...
