I would have to say that most players and teams that get the benefit of questionable (eupamism for poor) calls have earned it. Prince, Rip, Chauncy, and Sheed have been in the league forever and have earned the respect of teh officials. The same goes for the Spurs, the current Celtics roster, Kobe, Labron, etc etc.
If Jameer keeps taking charges in the years to come, he will start getting more and more of the calls instead of being called for fouls while in good position and maybe start getting the benefit of questionable charging fouls. Turk is a year or two away, with his current production, or getting the benefit of a foul most drives to the basket. Dwight will not get called for travelling and on the ball fouls as he becomes more sure of his moves and his D. We are watching the building of a great team of the future. I did not predict us to beat the Pistons; this is not because I thought the Pistons were far better or that I am waiting for the players on the team to get old and go away.
In time, the Magic will be one of those teams that everyone else complains about getting all the calls and the NBA conspiring to make them win.
