I like Caleb King to breakout and have a bigger year than Moreno does for UGA. If not for redshirting I think he would have been getting all the preseason hype for Heisman that Moreno is getting.
It is a pretty risky prediction, but Caleb King is the truth.
I also think Deonte Thompson and Chris Rainey will be breakout stars who make some really big plays for the Gators, although overall #'s might not be there because of all the talent on offense.
Whoever the QB for USC is (I'm betting on Mustain) will probably have a breakout year, although that's an easy one.

James Aldridge (RB) from Notre Dame had a great spring, however, NDs success will depend upon their D-line.
Scott McKillop (MLB) from Pitt was one of the Nations leading tacklers last year and did not really receive any press, this year he will...

How did I forget Caleb King? A very shifty and elusive guy; was #1 ahead of Joe McKnight after his junior season until having an injury his senior year in HS. He could possibly have a breakthrough year like Moreno did last season, although I don't see him getting nearly as many carries as Knowshon unless he's out with an injury, which I pray he never is. It'd be nice to see how he plays at WR or KR, although I don't think Richt likes playing players at multiple positions.
Jonathan Dwyer, a sophomore RB at Georgia Tech, did a fantastic job of backing up Tashard Choice last season. It looks like he'll be the starter in a transition year for GT, but he could be an All-ACC performer if he gets the majority of the carries. Brandon Minor and Carlos Brown could also help Michigan through a transition year on offense.

Big Ten style:
Brandon Saine RB(Ohio State)- True soph this year. Very fast but has some size to go along with it. Yeah, he is behind Beanie on the depth chart, but he has excellent hands as a receiver........he simply does not drop the ball. Tressel wants to use him as a receiver out of the backfield, or even in the slot at times. Watch out for big plays from Saine next year.
Lawrence Wilson and/or Cameron Heyward DE (Ohio State)- One or the other, or maybe both, will make noise this year at DE. Both are very talented. Wilson broke his leg in the first game of last year, and took a medical redshirt. He is back and looked good in spring. Heyward filled in for Wilson last year, and took over the starting DE spot opposite Gholston, as a true frosh. He is expected to be the next star on the Buckeye D-line.
John Clay RB (Wisconsin)- The most talented RB at Wisconsin right now. Yep, I said it. The kid is a beast, but will be 3rd on the depth chart behind Hill and the other guy (forgot his name). But Clay is the best of them all, and has been making a name for himself in the spring. You'll hear a lot from him in the next few yrs. I admit this year may be a little early for him to really break out, but we will see..
Donovan Warren CB (Michigan)- Very talented CB who won a starting job last year as a true frosh. Will only get better.
Darryl Clark QB (Penn State)- He could be the next Michael Robinson for PSU. And PSU has the talent to make him a name next year. Of course, first he has to win the starting job in Happy Valley, and it is still up in the air.

Cameron Heyward DE (Ohio State)
The one that got away...
He's going to be a big-time player next season. He isn't really that fast for a defensive end but he's huge and strong. Played against his HS team so I've seen him play in person, only at defensive tackle, and he was dominant.

UF averaged 197.7 rushing yards a ghame last year with only one true RB who couldn't hold onto the ball.
I don't see how Urban is too absorbed with throwing. Nearly 200yds a game rushing is nothing to sneeze at.
How many of those yards were from the running backs though?
I've said this time and time again Ohio State true freshman receiver Lamaar Thomas, clocked at 10.19 in the 100 meter, but consistently runs a 10.3. If not him, then Devier Posey, he didn't get much attention because of Julio Jones, but this kid catches everything, not too much the sweetest name in the class.
At PSU, I like Derrick Williams to break out again, like his freshman year....

That's my entire point. Even with average production from the running backs, UF still managed 200 yards a game. So Meyer definitely isn't absorbed with throwing.
BTW, I wasn't arguing that to prove Moody was going to breakout. I don't think he will. He'll prov | |
