Hudson leaves with elbow tightness: Atlanta SP Tim Hudson left Wednesday night's game against Florida with an injury. Chipper Jones was also injured in the game for the Braves. Hudson departed after throwing only 68 pitches because of tightness in his right elbow. He blamed the tender elbow on the eight to 10 splitters he threw and said he expects to make his next start as scheduled. "I don't foresee it being that big of a deal," he said. "It doesn't feel too bad. It just feels like tight muscles." (Updated 07/23/2008).
Injury Report
Elbow - Questionable for July 29 start vs. St. Louis (Updated - 7/23/08)
Fantasy Analysis
Hudson came into the game 10-7 with a 3.31 ERA for the Braves, who are fourth in the NL East and well back of the New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies. He pitched six shutout innings before leaving the game and will be evaluated on Thursday, an off day for the team. He generally pitches well enough to remain a must-start in all leagues, and he says he'll be ready for his next start, but check back to see the extent of his injury and if he'll miss his next start on Tuesday against St. Louis. Hudson would be an amazing start next week as he's scheduled to pitch twice. That may be in jeopardy now. (Updated 07/23/2008).
