Athletics 2B Mark Ellis missed his fourth straight game with a hamstring injury Friday at Atlanta. He remains day to day. (Updated 05/17/2008).
Injury Report
Hamstring - Questionable for May 17-18 at Atlanta (Updated - 5/17/08)
Fantasy Analysis
Ellis won't come close to hitting .300 this season, but he has decent pop for a middle infielder and has added steals to his repertoire. In traditional Rotisserie setups that require middle infielders, he definitely deserves to start when healthy. Of course, hamstring injuries have a way of ending up worse than they initially appear, so keep an eye on his progress. (Updated 05/17/2008).
Ellis did not play Thursday, and remains day-to-day with a strained left hamstring. (Updated 05/16/2008)
Advice
Ellis hurt the hamstring while legging out a double on Sunday according to the A's official Web site. He is 6-for-14 (.429) with a solo homer and four runs in his last four games after going 0-for-16 in his previous five.
