Nationals RHP Joel Hanrahan is making a strong case for inclusion in the bullpen, reports The Sports Xchange. Hanrahan, who struggled as a starter last season, is thriving as a reliever this spring. He struck out eight of the 10 Braves batters he faced Tuesday night, including 3B Chipper Jones, 1B Mark Teixeira and OF Jeff Francoeur. Out of options, Hanrahan appears to be the likely choice to be the Nationals' long reliever to open the season. He said he's comfortable in his new role. "I'm not worried about trying to hit a corner, or if I walk a guy what's going to happen," he said.
