McBride's elbow to be examined Monday: The Sports Xchange reports that Tigers LHP Macay McBride, who was supposed to start for Triple-A Toledo this spring, was scheduled to be examined by Detroit team physicians Monday after leaving his Saturday night start for the Mud Hens because of left elbow tenderness. McBride has pitched in relief the last couple of seasons, but the Tigers felt he had enough effective pitches to possibly help them in their rotation in the future. (Updated 04/07/2008).
