MEDICAL WATCH:

RHP Denny Bautista (right shoulder tendinitis) went on the 15-day disabled list May 3. He experienced more shoulder soreness while playing catch May 13.

LHP Dontrelle Willis (hyperextended right knee) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to April 12. He made a rehab start for Class AAA Toledo on May 2, when he tweaked the knee and was recalled from his assignment. He started for Toledo on May 12 and May 17. He could be activated at any time.

RHP Joel Zumaya (right shoulder AC joint surgery) opened the season on the 15-day disabled list. He threw off a mound May 1 for the first time since the surgery. There still was no timetable for his return.

C Vance Wilson (Tommy John surgery in June 2007) opened the season on the 15-day disabled list. In late April, he was struggling with plantar fasciitis, which was slowing his potential return. In mid-May, he resumed baseball activities.

RHP Fernando Rodney (right shoulder tendinitis) opened the season on the 15-day disabled list. He threw a bullpen session May 1, his first since a visit with Dr. James Andrews on April 16 determined there was nothing major wrong with his arm.
