No pressure or anything, Alex, but can you just go ahead and save the Yankees' season now?

Alex Rodriguez is expected to return to the Yankees after a successful rehab stint and the club will need him to get back to form as quickly as possible.

They have gone 6-11 since Rodriguez went on the disabled list with a strained right quadriceps muscle on April 28. Of course, their problems have gone well beyond A-Rod's absence, but this is just the type of situation that earned him the 10-year contract worth about $300 million.

Rodriguez's talent and ability to take over a team was seen last season when he helped keep the Yankees from completely falling apart and they'll need him to show he can at least offer a reminder of that performance.

The spotlight will be on him and the Yankees need him to respond.
