--RHP Brad Lidge couldn't have asked for a better start to his Phillies career. So far, though, he hasn't thought about extending it. Lidge, the hard-throwing closer acquired in a November trade with Houston, hadn't allowed an earned run in 17 innings including Friday night's game against the Giants at AT&T Park. And although his scoreless streak won't go on forever, a sustained run of success will set him up for a big payday when he becomes a free agent after the season. Would he discuss a contract extension with the Phils before he hits the open market? "Honestly, the only thing that's really true right now is I definitely like Philadelphia so far," Lidge said. "Besides that, I haven't put a whole lot more thought into it just because things are going really well right now, so I don't want to think about it. There's nothing I won't think about. For now, though, I'm kind of keeping my head down and just going forward. I'm certainly not opposed to anything. I'm not someone who has to do one thing or another (free agency or an extension)."
--INF Brad Harman knew his stint in the majors would last only as long as SS Jimmy Rollins stayed on the disabled list. And once Rollins was activated before Friday night's game, Harman was booked on a cross-country flight back to Class AA Reading. "It's my first time in the big leagues, so I'll remember it forever," said Harman, who went 1-for-10 in six games (two starts) and faced a list of pitchers that included Brandon Webb, Randy Johnson and Tim Lincecum. "It was unexpected to come up. It's going to help in a sense that now I've been up here. I know what to expect. At the same time, it's going to be fun to go back and play every day. I'm just going to keep on doing what I'm doing. The big-league life has a lot of great perks, but these guys really work hard. Hopefully, when I get to come up again, I'll get to stay."
--3B Pedro Feliz's wife and three daughters reside in San Mateo, Calif. So, Feliz has been looking forward to this weekend's three-game series in San Francisco since the season started. And in his first game back at AT&T Park, the former Giants 3B went 2-for-5 with an RBI double to raise his average to .244. Feliz reportedly was offered more money to stay with the Giants, but he was unhappy with the offer. Ultimately, though, he took a lesser contract (two years, $8.5 million) from the Phillies.
--LHP Jamie Moyer's recent trend of facing pitchers half his age will continue Saturday when he's opposed by Giants RHP Tim Lincecum. Moyer, 45, is the majors' oldest player. Lincecum is only 24. In his last start, Moyer faced Arizona rookie RHP Max Scherzer, who is 23. Last season, Moyer often opposed pitchers in their 40s, including Greg Maddux, David Wells, Tom Glavine and Randy Johnson.
BY THE NUMBERS 95 -- RBIs since last July 1 for Pat Burrell, tied with Milwaukee's Ryan Braun for the most in the majors.
QUOTE TO NOTE "Philly fans are very passionate, smart fans. It's nice to know that a lot of fans, whether they like me or not, knew that I came out to play every game and gave it all I had. It had been a while since we had won a (division) and the city had a winner. It was a blessing to be part of that. I appreciated every moment." -- Giants CF Aaron Rowand on the two seasons he spent with the Phillies.

I think if they are able to trade for Sherrill, Gordon's days as a Phillie are numbered this season..
I like the move.. makes the back of our bullpen that much stronger.. yes they've had some hiccups lately.. but on the season as a whole they still have the best ERA

I was wondering what Phillies fans think about Curt Schilling, aka the Big Blowhard. If he does go in the HOF, should it be with a Phillies hat? Please pick your choice.
Maybe i'm reading into this a lil to much, but how come Cole Hamels has pitched against the Mets once in 4 series..this year? This is your staff ACE and this rivalry has become a BIG thing. Why wouldn't you try and SQUEEZE him into the rotation
