SS Jimmy Rollins (sprained left ankle) sat out April 9, and he didn't start April 10-16 although he did pinch-hit on April 15 and 16. He went on the 15-day disabled list April 20. He played in extended spring training games May 5-6, and played for Class A Clearwater on May 7. He was activated May 9.
OF Chris Snelling (left knee inflammation) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to April 17.
RHP Kris Benson (right rotator cuff surgery in March 2007) had a setback late in spring training and was diagnosed with biceps tendinitis. His first start in extended spring training on April 26 was cut short due to a strained right groin.
RHP Scott Mathieson (Tommy John surgery in September 2006) felt a pull in his elbow during a side session before spring training. He opened the season on the 15-day disabled list.
LHP Mike Zagurski (torn ulnar collateral ligament) was injured March 23. He opened the season on the 15-day disabled list and underwent season-ending Tommy John surgery April 3.
RHP Francisco Rosario (right shoulder strain) opened the season on the 15-day disabled list.
