MEDICAL WATCH:

DH Cliff Floyd (torn medial meniscus in right knee) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to April 7, and he had surgery April 11. He was re-evaluated and activated on May 9.

RHP Gary Glover (shoulder soreness) went on the 15-day disabled list April 26. He is expected to return as soon on May 12.

RHP Al Reyes (impingement in right shoulder) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to April 16. An MRI was taken on May 2, and the report was considered positive for the Rays -- biceps tendinitis. He might resume his rehab assignment May 9.

3B Willy Aybar (sore left hamstring) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to April 10.

OF/DH Rocco Baldelli (leg fatigue) opened the season on the 60-day disabled list and is out indefinitely because of a condition that saps his leg strength, even after a short workout.

INF Ben Zobrist (fractured left thumb) went on the 15-day disabled list retroactive to March 21. He started a rehab assignment with Class A Vero Beach on May 7, and he could be back with the Rays as soon as May 12.

RHP Chad Orvella (sore right shoulder) opened the season on the 15-day disabled list. He was transferred to the 60-day DL on April 13.

So even in games where our starting pitching did not look so good, how is it that the Rays are still managing to pull out huge come from behind victories? Why is it that everytime the media questions their tenacity, their heart, their passion they cut down the defending MLB Champs the Boston Redsox or the dynasty that is crumbling in the ...(more)

This upcoming road trim in St. Louis followed by a stint out in Oakland will show a lot about our young ballclub.

We have played the most division games so far with 30, only one other team is even close to that amount.  Our 18 and 12 record within the division so far looks to be a good start but the series against St. Louis is going to show how deep our club is.  Joe Ma ...(more)

Not bad when that's the record of your number five pitcher, huh?

I was hoping Andy would've pitched the 9th having only thrown 98 pitches, but it was a smart move to take him out and put Percival in.

Your team looks pretty great this year and I belive will be there until the end. The Rays have kicked the Yankees butt all year so far. This should be alot of fun watching the race thru the year. Its nice to have a strong AL east. So Congrats to all the loyal Ray fans.
